ZFR: So you're joining as usual?

Bookwyrm627: I'm thinking about it. Weighing interest and time, though I do admit "helping break in the newbies" has a certain allure. :)
There is 1 of you and 3 empty seats lef. Coincidence? I think not.
Hi guys,

I'm away for the weekend, so keep signing up and pressuring Bookwyrm to sign up and I'll be back Monday, hopefully to start the game!

Have a good one x
Hey, let's see if we can play and finish the game without Joe over the weekend. The look on his face when he comes back on monday... won't be visible, but still!

Hooray, hooray.

Vote Lifthrasil.
In the interests of avoiding a no-lynch I find myself forced to also vote Lifthrasil.

With 9 living players it'll take 5 votes to lynch. Of course if we sign new players up then the threshold for a majority will change.
I see new blood... welcome!

A tentative I'm in (may have to withdraw after I see how a couple of doctor's appointments go).

Hope the flavour won't be as heavy as in the pokemon game.

We'll have to wait for Joe to get back to add you to the list but there's definitely a space for you.
Would someone please explain what is this thing about no-lynch on day one? What changes after that?

On Day one there is no information on which to base suspicions. So there is normally no good reason to lynch anyone. Therefore new players often assume, that it would be best for Town not to lynch rather than to risk lynching one of their own. However, that is a fallacy. If we don't lynch on Day One, we don't get any flip (a flip is the reveal of the alignment of killed players) and we don't have any lynch wagon to analyze. So we would start Day 2 with not much more information than we had on Day 1.

That means, since Towns foremost goal is the gathering of information, it is best play for Town to lynch someone on Day 1. Even if most of the time that turns out to be a mis-lynch. And sometimes it is a scum tactic to stall the voting process until the deadline so that a no-lynch happens 'accidentally'.

In other words anyone suggesting not to lynch on Day 1 will be seen as scummy by the majority by now.

Ah, I see. Thank you! As stated previously, I have never been a part of (even as an observer to) this game, so i really don't know all that is going on. :D

No worries, ask all the questions you want. The more informed you are the more fun you’ll have.

Thank you!
Do those who get assigned to be "mafia" have a hidden chat somewhere? Or how do they plan? Group Messages?
