Offtopic? Who cares? The main thing is that thanks to the announcement, someone will be able to get a free game and become happier, and the keys will not be wasted.

I truly did not mean any sort of disrespect in regards to telling folks on the Gog Gifting Thread about an expiring key or for calling people who request games there "key beggars". I had heard the term in the past and had applied it to that thread without thinking of its negative connotations towards the good people there. It was a poor choice of word on my part and I apologize for that. I do not think badly of anyone here and I strive to bring the community together which is why I was trying so hard to find a home for these keys. If that thread is inappropriate for posting the "expiring key reminder" then I shall refrain from doing that in the future.

If you have no objections, I'm going to try posting announcements on the GOG subreddit when eligibility requirements are waived for expiring codes. Maybe it will catch the attention of a few people who'd otherwise miss them. These days, it can be hard to find anything on the forum, underneath the mountains of spam.
