I am using a password generator that makes breaking my password... almost impossible.

Example.
Lets say my password is... GuessMyPasswordItIsIncrediblyLong...
And i have the second argument as gog.com.

I will get the password of: y7XEfyJTbLXkxT3atvqqfCfvnCY99TmwazbvhLnzpeTr4ruiftoTMYK3CrzF

Course i have considerably weaker passwords, but this seems to work very well for me.

Bad passwords are commonly used ones, words in a dictionary, and leaked passwords.
Bruteforcing rarely happens, for most people.

Even when i was using my strongest 14 character password it wasn't ever broken... because i tended to interlace three things together Making an intelligible set of letters, which after entering 30 times i memories and got fast at.

Unfortunately requirements to make passwords better... does the opposite.
Has to have 2 uppercase, 2 lowercase, 2 special and 2 letters.

You end up with

and when you update every 3 months it it becomes
JOnny!!02
JOnny!!03

etc etc

I've never seen such elaborate requirements.
I usually let keepass generate a random one - and (rarely) adapt it if it doesn't fit a requirement.

I have. Generally work computers. Once at Kruger and AT&T. Other places will give you a suggestion of how strong/complex it is, others will outright refuse you. Worse if you use a previously used password in the last 5 times it will reject it too. Too bad really.

Yes, therey have been some real scandals about companies being hacked and being careless with security, but I have not seen any evidence that is the case with GOG.

In Active Directory there is a group policy that toggles complex password requirements which is predefined as a combo of upper and lower case letters, numbers, and special characters of at least 8 characters in length. There are additional policies to set password expiry and how long you have to wait before reusing a password.

If you work in a place that must adhere to PCI compliance requirements then they have password requirements that must be applied to your network. There are other security standards that many organizations adhere to for network security like CIS that also dictate password security requirements.

Yeah, you're right - they're doing it at my workplace too. I HATE it, but I understand, they're protecting the network from the most ignorant employees.
I use a mouse moving program because the system isn't set up for VM computers.

They need to encourage good passwords. Like give you 7 random words, you can reorder the words and you memorize them. After 3-4 times of that you get to choose your own words. Viola! Good passwords!
