So for lovers of heavy metal, I have a download code for The Best (of) Gamma Ray to give away.

If you don't know who the band is, they are one of the finest German heavy metal band's of the last 25 yrs. Very similar to the likes of Helloween and Running Wild.

If you're a fan of the band, even better. This is the album available...

If you are interested let me know why. Your favourite band/song or something related. :)

(the album is redeemable on ear-music.net)
No one? :/
I'm interested,, do we have to narrow it down to just one "favorite" band?

No way man, fire away. There is so much good music in the world to limit yourself. :D
First thought that occurred to me when I heard that video was Lucozade LOL :)

Not in but my favorite band depends on the day. :P

Right now I'm listing to some early 90s Ministry.

Okay that's where it gets confusing. XD Their really really early stuff is Depeche Mode, then it got metal, and now I haven't heard from them since.

lol early to me is pre 95. But I liked their first few albums too. it was like digital metal, kind of weird.
Just picked out a few at random, I'm not awake enough to do a full run through I guess haha. I also can't list certain artists like Danzig or Motorhead or Johnny Cash because I would have to list pretty much their entire discography and they have way too many songs and albums!

Switchblade Symphony: Clown (Live)
Switchblade Symphony: Dollhouse (Live)
Switchblade Symphony: Sweet (Live)

Warrior Soul: The Losers
Warrior Soul: Jump For Joy
Warrior Soul: Ghetto Nation

Marissa Nadler: Ghost and Lovers
Marissa Nadler: Mary Come Alive
Marissa Nadler: Baby, I Will Leave You In The Morning

Good choice indeed. You can never go wrong with some Motorhead! Their last album was awesome. I enjoy spinning that LP on my turntable. \m/

hi.
Difficult, a favourite one. I tend to be all over the places some days. Currently, Haggard - Awakening the Centuries is high up there. Nightwish - anything from the Tarja days.

Icon of Coil, VNV Nation, all the way through to Old Roman Chanting (seriously I have an hour of it) on some days, so its difficult to narrow down.

Seems to be linked to age as well, had a punk phase, and metal (still have an Eddie t-shirt). Nowadays my head would fall off if I tried so end up with more morose, or reminiscing stuff - My Dying Bride for instance.

Anyways, not heard of that band, will have a look at the youtube when I get home - thanks for the info, always interested in bands I haven't heard of.
I don't own digital music (actually that's a lie, I do own some on Groupiees etc., but I usually find everything on youtube) so it would be wasted on me. However kudos for Gamma Ray. I myself don't buy music (I did about 15 or so years ago - probably it was pirated though:/), but I do go to concerts.. so there's that. The artists get more from a concert anyway than from CDs...
It's hard to narrow down, but I usually like Power Metal (I was a huge Manowar fan - I still like them), but also like other stuff like Maiden, but also some less famous stuff like Blind Guardian, Edguy, Sonata Arctica etc etc...
