Bigs: Unfortunately, we can't support Wolcen on GOG anymore. However, I can propose you a Steam key to continue playing Wolcen with its most recent updates.

The game will stay available in its current Alpha state(0.5.0.5c) in your GOG library, but it won't be updated anymore with future updates.
Because most of their sales are on Steam?

I'd assume so - however I've asked their CM that they let GOG know so people who haven't already can get their purchases transferred to Steam or refunded - if there are still any...

Which is what they've been saying for a while now. Don't hold your breath. They also said they would never support gog again, because it's too much trouble. Expect more of this sort of thing in the future, or just a "screw it, we're going home" and having this game pulled from gog entirely.

The game will stay available in its current Alpha state(0.5.0.5c) in your GOG library, but it won't be updated anymore with future updates.

- A readable screenshot of the email of your Wolcen purchase on GOG
- A readable photo of your ID

Upon reception, we will give you a Steam key so you can play Wolcen in its latest version and update it whith the most recent patches as soon as they are live.

Wolcen Studio good riddance, can't they even be bothered to wait until the game is complete and give us whole game then or is this going to have important multiplayer features similar to ladders/leagues and is bothersome that way.

They said that when I messaged the day I messaged them about it... then again 2 weeks later - https://www.gog.com/forum/west_of_loathing/reckonin_at_gun_manor_dlc/post3 - March 2nd

It's looking like it will be next week. Programmer just got back from vacation, and we need to update the builds for GOG with all the bug fixes we've accumulated over on Steam.
Nothing since then...

Hi Calistaen. Firstly congratulation on reaching the stage of a beta release for Wolcen. I would like to know if you plan to continue your support by releasing the beta build on GOG. I understand that the beta testing phases were originally time limited - thus it may have been too difficult to include GOG users in such a phase. However I have bought the game on GOG as DRM free is important to me, and need to know that you haven't abandoned it. If you are not going to provide GOG support moving forward, is there any way I can transfer my GOG license to a Steam one - as I have paid for Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem.

I just send you the Discord DM (Nirguna) regarding the upcoming beta release of Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem and whether or not GOG will be included. As it stands at the moment, the last update for Wolcen on GOG was 0.5.0C. As I have only recently become aware of Wolcen I have only just purchased it (though I own multiple ARPGs - Diablo 1-3 / Grim Dawn / Titan Quest / Sacred 1-2 / Torchlight 1-2 etc etc - I love the genre and hope that you can improve upon it) - but I am concerned that the game is - or will be abandoned on GOG.

Will you be updating it on GOG, or do I need to get my license transferred to Steam (and if it's the latter it might be wise to let GOG know so that any users can get refunded / are aware of what options they have)

I can provide proof of purchase if needed depending on what your company's stance is.

My Time at Portia. Not only are we behind on major update and it's hotfixes for a second time, but each time when we got update it was an outdated build.

They're one of the worst devs I've encountered on GOG... if the store doesn't have the name "Steam" in it, they just don't care... they're also busy putting the game out on consoles soon, so that puts GOG even further down the totem pole

Imo GOG should be informed about this conversation. Such games should be removed imo. We don't need devs that leave their game in alpha state and demand full price for it - even if they call it inDev which won't happen anymore ... at least not on GOG!

Somehow I guess they will just offer you a Steam key as well ... as if this would be any help for people who don't want to use Steam or don't want to accept DRM...
