JetGumRadio: Hatoful Boyfriend is one of those weird games that would liven up the catalog.
If I wanted to play a Visual novel, I think I'd prefer one where you screw actual female humans.

I always do. Why spend money to rent something when you could spend the same and own it?

In addition, GOG's support for classic games is way better than on Steam where there is even no guarantee that the game will run at all.

Excellent, excellent! Crossing fingers we get the classic DOS version as a separate download, as well.

catpower1980: According to the French website Gamekult, Devolver will release a remake of Hatoful Boyfriend, a visual novel with pigeons.

The news(french-only) where gog is mentioned:
http://www.gamekult.com/actu/devolver-va-ressortir-un-jeu-de-pigeons-A133255.html
Hopefully this will only be the start of GOG adding quality Visual Novels to their catalog. -_^
- Higurashi When They Cry...
- Steins;Gate...
- World End Economica...
- Ever 17: The Out of Infinity...

I was a bit worried that Z was going to become exclusive to steam, this is great news thanks for posting it! ^_^

Now the question is, will it be the Win95 version with the Expansion or the DOS version... or both! O_O

If Z is being released on GOG, I wonder what the chances of Z: Steel Soldiers also being released are.

I think they had the same developer but different publishers so the rights may be held by another party.

I also prefer classic version but, concerning system requirements published on Steam - it will be remake. If we are lucky gog adds classic version as a bonus.
Great news, I hope it will be the original one, not this port for iOS/ smart phones. If that is the case -instabuy! :)

Crosmando: Z is one of the RTS's from the 90's that I remember fondly because it was unique, there was a lot of cloning going on in the RTS market back then, but Z had an interesting system where you had to hold parts of the map and commandeer buildings and vehicles, as opposed to the usual base-building and resource harvesting.

I don't think anyone tried a similar approach until Company of Heroes many, many years later.
I think WH40K Dawn of War came up before CoH (developed by the same studio, Relic entertainment); you still had to build your base but no harvesting, the resource was called 'requisition points' and it was granted through conquering and holding strategic points in the map.

Ingsoc85: I email KranX about Vangers (recently released on Steam) and they confirm me the game will be added to GOG in the coming month.
It seems to be taking longer than they thought.

Given that in http://steamcommunity.com/app/264080/discussions/0/558754260195626146/#p1 they're talking about adding things like HD and multiplayer, maybe they're waiting for more stability before a non-Steam release. Or it's just GOG's ever-inscrutable release schedule again.
So I just saw this on Steam:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/285480/

This is apparently one of the only WWI RTS's ever made, hopefully it comes to GOG too.

The only other one I'm aware of is World War I, based on the Blitzkrieg engine. It's not historically accurate in the slightest (for instance, you get access to landships/tanks as early as 1914, the lack of chemical weapons is flat out dazzling and - surprisingly - there's hardly any trench warfare to speak of), but if you can look past these flaws, it's a fun little game.

I see that this was made with the Cossacks engine. It's truely a remarkable platform for designing mass battle kind of scenarios, I'm sure that this game might be fun.

Of course there are also games that kind of simulate WW1 era battles like Empire Earth but it's an abstraction of that part of human history rather than simulation or having a distinctive theme.

Unfortunatly apart from this flashgame Warfare 1917 I don't know about any other atmospheric World War I based "RTS". It's not using the famous strategy formula made famous by games like Dune 2 or Warcraft 1 but it can still be considered RTS.
