AFAIK, there are no games unsuitable for women, excepting, maybe the cookie game (Although there might be some variant adapted to female players)

Mr.Mumbles: So Ken is the queen? ;)
No. He's merely the pawn, subject to the most brutal captures. ;)
low rated

gixgox: All games they want to play.
I like especially those games with scissors....

darktjm: One of the character classes in Mary Skelter Nightmares wields giant scissors in the portrait (you can also wield scissors, but that doesn't change their appearance).
That game is on sale as part of today's daily deals.

Also, if you don't mind a game that plays as though it were released in 1989, Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap is also on sale. That game, despite its title (and the game it's a remake of), *does* allow you to play as a girl, and the title screen even changes to match.

While I'm mentioning games that are on sale, Timespinner (which I mentioned in a previous post in this topic) is 10% off this sale, and it has a female main character.

Lifthrasil: Of course we are. But somtimes it's fun to feed the troll to see what he does. But sadly this troll doesn't do anything and is just boring.
Yeah, I was hoping to get some insight into what they thought wasn't suitable. Could have been a laugh, but I suppose it just wasn't to be.

HappyPunkPotato: As for which games to play I'd recommend the first three Monkey Islands, but I'd recommend them to anyone who doesn't dislike point-and-click or pirates! :-)
avatar
PixelBoy: Yeah, but they really aren't "girl" games, even though many girls love them.
Being a pirate is a guy dream, and the entire plot is an overstereotypical dude thing; become a pirate, go on adventures, fight the bad guy, get the girl.

Generally speaking girls would be more attracted to games like Machinarium, where the graphics and characters are cute, and the plot isn't a guy fantasy thing.
I second that!

Edit: In retrospect, I guess you might have been joking. I'll leave this post here, anyway, since MSN is on the one-day-sale list today.
WOW - that are big tools ;)
Now I understand why my mom warned me "Don't run with scissors".

Even though the scissors are nice, I won't get that game, because I have to admit that I don't like Manga/Anime - though my grand-kids tried to convince me otherwise.
No game is suitable for "women", "men", "children", "attack helicopters" etc.

Those are abstract ideas, and not individuals with their own particular tastes and needs. Find the games which are suitable to YOU, not to an idea.

Hidden object games (Grim Legends, Nightmares From The Deep and so on) point & click adventure games (Monkey Island, Deponia and so on), The Sims games, Zoo Tycoon, World of Warcraft and Cities: Skylines are some of the games my better half enjoy.

I have no idea if those games are typically enjoyed by women.
Just avoid shooters where you have to press the spacebar.

That's a dirty joke isn't it? :P
What do you mean suitable for women?
Isn't it just has to be a gamer and has to love certain game genres and play em. I don't see any differences except when it comes to strategy games, main reason to have a pc back in the day was strategy is my favorite genre. Now i don't see a lot of women into strategy, but maybe i missed women that were into strategy games. Really somebody posted the % of how many women are into strategy games it was rather low but still some were into strategy.
Try Huniepop or Skyrim?
From my very limited experience with women I can report that they like:

Heroes of Might and Magic 2+3
Ralroad Tycoon 2
Age of Empires
Giana Sisters
Hmmm, how about all of them?

As a male, I have a feeling I would cringe and find little information in a list called "games suitable for men".

I could understand a list for children, even though those are actually lists for overprotective parents, since I can distinctly remember when I was a child I would find great fun in games (and everything else) geared towards adults/everyone and hated games designed specifically for children.
