PainOfSalvation: If Zigfrak got rejected amongst many other mentioned games with good reviews, then you cannot but to ask yourself about the decisions of people who decide what's good for GOG catalogue and what's not. Sadly, it looks like in the end, it's all about money.
I don't think it being about money is the answer. Steam has shown that apparently letting garbage on your store is more profitable than not doing so, so how could rejecting great games be better than selling them?

Honestly, I have to wonder if GOG's teams just reject games based on purely personal reasons and what kind of mood they're in that day. No other explanation adds up.

Marioface5: "Our BizDev and QA teams thoroughly research and evaluate every incoming title"

This doesn't really help us understand the process better, because we still have a lot of inconsistencies with what's on the store and what's rejected. To be honest, I don't even believe this claim. Cook, Serve, Delicious! was rejected for being "too casual", but most people who have spent a decent amount of time on the game will tell you that's not true. Meanwhile, Surgeon Simulator is up for sale. Aside from inconsistencies like that, there's still the issue of games that are very well-received elsewhere getting rejected or ignored here, such as many games mentioned in this thread.
My big takeaway from this and the general "Why isn't GOG releasing [game]" issue is that whoever they employ to evaluate games for release probably just have questionable taste. That's really not meant to sound mean, and I'm sure there are other, more business-oriented considerations that play into things (e.g., price points), but to me it's just the simplest and most obvious explanation.

andysheets1975: probably just have questionable taste
The catalog has over 1200 games, mostly greatly respected, and this list is just 32. Even if the entire OP list all deserved to be here, and I'd argue fully half of them really don't, that's pretty solid for folks with "questionable taste."

Supposedly GOG rejected the Excelsior games:

http://excelsior-rpg.com/ex1.htm
http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/excelsior_phase_two_errondor
http://excelsior-rpg.com/ex2.htm

and the Flatspace games:
http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#search=flatspace
http://www.cornutopia.co.uk/lif/

These are fairly old indie games so the presentation has aged a bit, but they can be quite fun. If the Hugo Trilogy can make it here, surely these games can as well. All the games come with demos if you want to give them a shot.
I'd like GOG to reconsider Solarix.

Meanwhile, it's available DRM free on the developer's website.

As the developer states:

BTW, some of you guys asked for non-drm version, I baked it and sent it to some shops, not GOG, though. Apparently, Solarix is not good enough for GOG, they rejected our label's offer.

I only see a Steam key there.

Hmm... could've sworn there was a DRM free version too. In any case, there's a DRM free version on the developer's website: http://www.pulsetense.com/2015/07/solarix-non-drm-version-available-to-purchase-here/
Looks interesting: shades of Thief, SS and maybe Doom 3 atmospherics. (Shame about the obnoxious highlights on interactive objects.) It's encouraging that the dev posts to TTLG. I wonder how Routine will compare to it.

For some reason the dev's PayPal link takes me to a non-Anglophone checkout.

Oh yeah... I had completely forgotten that it existed. And from the looks of it they are still working on it. The trailer/alpha demo they released way back when looked great, but who knows if they manage to make the rest of the game as good.

The developer probably forgot to switch their native language when they copied the link. Change the bolded part in the link:

https://www.paypal.com/<span class="bold">tr</span>/...

to

https://www.paypal.com/<span class="bold">en</span>/...

and you should be all set.

There's a wishlist item for this game.

It looks interesting, wouldn't mind seeing it here. Am a bit dubious about their payment setups.

http://www.gog.com/forum/general/void_meddler_point_and_click_adventure_refused_vote_for_it_now

djdarko contacted the devs of the cyber-punk indie adventure game Void &amp; Meddler about coming to GOG and received the following response:

"Thanks for your email, we are very excited to release Void&Meddler! About GOG, we would like to release the game on it, but it seems GOG disagree. But you can order the game on Humblestore, or on our website, it's DRM-free."

The dev of Dominique Pamplemousse tweeted someone's ignorant review of 80 Days (see here: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BuJ86KPIgAIaGpA.png) and then this:

"It’s stuff like that I hit up against with @DomPamplemousse. Even certain game stores like GOG refused it based on the content."

Thomas Was Alone still not here? No wonder GOG is alone. xD
