The Walking Dead: 400 Days (DLC)
Some of the stories are pretty good, but all in all this DLC isn't as intense as the base game. Mostly because the episodes are very short and didn't give you enough time to relate to the characters. But yet it is an interesting addition to the The Walking Dead franchise.

PaterAlf: My first completed game in 2018:

The Walking Dead: Season 1
Note that you can import your game to Season 2 and from there to A New Frontier. And some decisions actually carry over from S1 to the last game. Importing from S2 to ANF is a bit tricky if you have the GOG version - there is a bug where ANF looks for the wrong folder that wasn't fixed here :/ (Season 2 vs. Season Two). Supposedly you can upload your S2 save file to Telltale and then import it from there, but I couldn't get this working either...

Concerning decisions and changed... I would also have hoped for a bit more branching... On the other hand: Dialogue and some scenes change considerably and branching the story is an effort that grows exponentially, so I can understand they didn't do it. S2 is a bit more drastic in this regard, but terms of emotional involvement I found it a bit weaker than S1 - except for the ending I got which was plain... depressing.
To start I completed Sakura Spirit yesterday night. Sigh, I regret buying that Sakura bundle now. It is boring, with silly story and only branching was to split the game for some 10 minutes to see 1 different "sexy" picture.
I am not sure what i expected but didn't have fun with it at all.
At least it only took some 3 hours to click through it.
Thief 3: Deadly shadows

There seems to be quite a lot of criticism of this game, and some of it certainly is justified. The gameplay does have some flaws compared to the previous games...you can't swim anymore (even falling into shallow water kills you instantly which is just ridiculous), movement is somewhat clunky, mantling doesn't work well, you can even gut stuck in the environment sometimes etc. Levels are also somewhat smaller than in Thief 1 and 2 though I'm ambivalent about this...some of the levels in Thief 1&2 were excessively large and confusing imo, especially in Thief1, so the change isn't totally bad imo.
There's a new game element, a city environment which you have to traverse between missions. Nice idea, but the execution is somewhat annoying, there are too many guards that attack you on sight (silly, how can Garrett continue living in a city where every city guard recognizes him instantly and is out to kill him?).
But the game does have a lot of things going for it, despite those flaws. The story is excellent, certainly better than in Thief 1, and at least as good as in Thief 2. Nice cutscenes too, on the whole a very satisfying conclusion to the trilogy. Voiceacting is excellent again. And despite the flaws mentioned above, the gameplay is still a lot of fun.

So despite some justified criticism a very good game. 4/5 from me.

tinyE: Just finished C&C 3. I;m getting too old for this high speed crap. :P

Guess I'll hit the expansion "Kane's Wrath" before moving onto something like "Deserts of Kharak" that actually has a tactical pause.
Not a huge trekkie and the original films were pants. Star Trek 2 is a true classic.

Please include me, my GOG backlog is seriously running away and I need motivation.

I understood that the Dune title - "Kane's Wrath" was a nod to the classic Star Trek film 'Wrath of Khan' which prompted me to digress and go on a nostalgia rant. :)

Just finished "Kane's Wrath" and it was a lot better than I thought it would be. I don't do well with timers and this was almost void of them, minus a few areas where you could easily prep ahead of time BEFORE any countdown started.

Very nice game.
South Park: The Fractured but Whole. Basically an extension of The Stick of Truth, only with a somewhat more robust combat system. Now you move your guys around on a grid and can use moves to knock enemies into each other or into obstacles for extra damage (and they can do the same to you). I played on normal difficulty and it wasn't really a challenge aside from maybe one or two fights throughout the game. I'll have to be sure to try it on a harder level next time.

In every other respect, if you're a South Park fan you'll like this because it literally is the show, written and directed by its creators, only in an interactive form. It begins almost immediately after the first game and the town is mapped the same. The kids are still playing fantasy but then Cartman decides it's time to play superheroes, so all the progress you made in the first game is erased and you have to start from the ground up as a rookie superhero. I thought it was hilarious and I appreciated that it gave more spotlight to some of the characters who were more marginal in the first game. I think my favorite ended up being Scott Malkinson, who gains super-strength by giving himself a sugar rush, and then is immobilized until he can give himself an insulin shot. I missed Mint Berry Crunch, though; maybe they're saving him for DLC...
And the first game of the year will be Grim Dawn here on GOG!

Since I've discovered Titan's Quest, I've been a fan of Diablo's like, even if I've never played Diablo. Grim Dawn is a very worthy addition to the genre!

There are lots of loot, side quests, faction influence, possible builds and so on. Like other games of that genre, maybe the "real" game starts with a NG+, when you up the difficulty, but for the moment my backog is wayyyy too long for me to launch myself in a NG+.

I'll eventually come back to Grim Dawn, since I haven't bought the DLCs yet!
