mhmm ... I don't know where the problem lies. I launch my game through the GOG Galaxy client. No other software like Playnite or anything. I've noticed that Xbox Game Bar only takes black screenshots. Usually, I mostly use Xbox Game Bar on my PC to take screenshots.

But honestly, I don't know where there could be a problem on my end.

Graphic card drivers need updating...?.

It's up to date (NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready 531.79). All other drivers, such as AMD motherboard drivers, are also up to date. Additionally, I think I'm very knowledgeable about my PC. I've already tried many "tricks" regarding the GOG client (edited configs, etc.). Even a complete uninstallation of the client (including config files) and reinstallation didn't help.

And yes, the overlay is enabled. Both in the client and in the Stardew Valley configuration.

Okay, I think I've found the problem. Apparently, there's an issue with "msi Afterburner," which I installed just before. If I turn off the overlay from msi Afterburner and start Stardew Valley, I don't have any problems with the GOG Galaxy Overlay. I need to investigate this more closely now. Thanks for your help! <3

If you install msi Afterburner it automatically also installs riva tuner statistics which offers the overlay for this application as well. It is no wonder that two overlays might have problems working together. It is possible to disable riva tuner statistics (if you don't use the msi afterburner overlay) simply by renaming the executable rtss.exe for it in the riva tuer statistics folder.
