Nice. :) Really loved the first two chapters - those "secret" moon levels could have been a separate mod all by themselves.
*Screams in WAD files*
Fantastic!

Really, due to its sheer size, at this point it can't be called a mod or a TC. BOA is in its own right a full game and doesn't use DooM wad(s) at all. Previous version seems to work off of Freedoom2.wad, but not now...
What,, a free mod that acts as a game all by itself?! So it is like a shooter game like shadow Warrior and doom?

Inspirations for this are coming from games like RTCW, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor and other 90's WWII shooters. The gameplay is more in style of the classic Doom and the whole thing can be seen as a unofficial sequel to Wolfenstein 3D. It's not only just shooting though. There is also some stealth in this.

Ah, okay. Never heard of such a game before. Thank you for the details and background of the game. I appreciate it! :)
Someone already test it? I want to but I have several problems with my keyboard after a Windows update D:
sigh, it still has the performance problems of the previous release for me, but I am tweaking like a mad man.
Okay, I decided to take a look at it. It seems interesting but is there any particular reason everything is red?

Well they add a lot of new graphical settings and effects, probably they will start to optimise it now they reach the full release.
Although, I hear they are preparing a prequel chapter, hopefully it will be a stand alone.

Hopefully.
I found the performance terrible. But a Very polished and quality achievement, though

thraxman: Putting the word out that the complete chapters 1-3 of Blade of Agony is releasing tomorrow. Set during WW2 inspired by Return to Castle Wolfenstein its one of the most polished, well made free games I have personally played. Vids and screenshots devs site show off the bits from the currently available chapters and reviews by professional game press. Nothing special need to run it just follow the moddb links on the devs site.

WOOT! Thanks for the news. Chapters 1 and 2 were awesome! Better than the modern AAA Wolfensteins even. :-)
Tried it with the Mac version of GZDoom. Some error message about skybox AO, and indeed ambient occlusion has to be disabled or else the skybox looks stupid, but other than that it runs flawlessly with all other settings maxed out, and no performance issues. Seems a newer version of GZDoom than 4.5 is needed to fix the AO thing, but currently that would require compiling from source as far as I can tell, probably not worth messing with just for AO. Anyway, quite impressive for a Doom mod.

That... seems to be about as self-contradictory as possible.
