That's exactly what is wrong with this and other similar threads. Instead of discussing that such-and-such country doesn't deserve "special treatment", people could discuss which country might need some special treatment (not just on GOG).

You don't even realize how grim, and even more, inhumane is such talk. If someone lived with poverty all around him, he'd think twice before saying - "hey, this poor land doesn't deserve special treatment, let's deny those poor people whatever little small good things they had".

I hope now you see why such talk is extremely awful, to say it lightly.

You are missing the point and seem to be invested in playing the victim rather than discussing the issue properly. If you had been paying attention, you would have noticed earlier that I said:

For myself it's not envy but a desire for equity. I don't object to local pricing when it is done sensibly. But in this case it is not.

So I'm all for a break to those in need, though again it's a somewhat spurious solution because individual income within a country is just as disparate as average income between countries, if not even moreso. My objection is that there is only one country getting a blanket special case across the board, and there has not been a good reason given why they alone deserve this break.

But since you personally benefit from it, I can see why you'd be invested in defending it.

Hey, I say give it all for free, people deserve what little joy they can get in this life and society at large sure messes things up for the vast majority, so at least things that carry pretty much no individual cost on their own (meaning digital copies of stuff) should be freely available. But while we're paying...

And come over here too, away from Bucharest at least, better yet in some rural areas, or even city outskirts, see about poverty. But even then, it's a matter of recognizing that in other parts of the world, or in fact in most of the world, or at least for most people, considering the populations of the worst affected countries, it's worse.

Why, I believe you, and you as well can believe that things in my land aren't exactly good as well. It is simply worse than some people think and as our government pretends it is.

Because local publishers apparently have less bargaining power. Imho the russian prices are probably 1C's "fault", they have somehow convinced everyone that they should sell their games cheaply in russia, otherwise they might not sell anything at all. Or something in those lines. I wouldn't have anything against regional prices if they would indeed be fair (meaning if they would be correlated with purchasing power everywhere). Alas it is not the case.

Seriously Bethesda is the last company I would expect to be for flat pricing but I doubt it. Probably some mistake or bug by gog as usual.
