Thanks for the game, Doc. It was really awesome!

I was glad to share the dungeon escape with such an awesome team of crawlers :P Now, let's all go spend our money (the gems we got are worth a lot, right?).
Epilogue #29 - Og'rialt - Dwarf Brigand

Panting slightly after that run while carrying not just one, but two small but heavy chest of treasure, and pointedly not mentioning anything about triggering traps to Eranear, Og'rialt looks around the woods he now finds himself in, noticing many other adventurers discussing their escape, or already starting out on their long trek home. His eyes light up as he spots Dunward. "Ah, Dunward, just the man I was looking for! Could you do me a small favour, and help me identify just a few magical trinkets? Oh, and feel free to pick one for yourself to keep!" Saying this, he dumps the heavy chest with rings and pendants in Dunward's lap. He then proceeds to share some of the bounty from the other chest with Kip and Aslain, before realizing that someone seems to be missing...

"Now where did that rascal Beldarion take off to?"

Lone_Scout:
Og'rialt has barely uttered the words, when he hears his name being loudly taken in vain in the distance, with the shout disturbing a large flock of birds.

"Ah, there he is! Let's all go catch up with him and share some of this treasure to help him remember the benefits of working together and not punching too many faces!"

Overtaken by a good mood, Og'rialt sets out, admiring the towering trees that surround him. Soon he'll need to find out where in the world he has found himself, and start planning for the long trek to his ancestral home. Soon he'll have to discover if he really has the strength of character to face the mistakes of his former life. But soon is not now, and for now, he's content to just enjoy the simple pleasures in life.

We made it! THE A-TEAM! :D

I can't deny Says Beldarion and B.A. Barrackus have something in common, hehehe...

It was incredibly fun. Thank you very much for everything, Doc!
Woohooo! We made it! And we even get rewarded for playing this game. That is so awesome!

Thank you very much for taking all the time to run this game, Doc! We should be the ones rewarding you for all the work you did. It was really fun!
Amazing game, can't believe this took already about 3 months.Huge thanks to doc for doing this.Hopefully next year you can do something similar and more easy for you.

Rudy the human ranger thanks Svartalf for carrying him (hopefully I wasn't to heavy :D) and Eranear for rescuing him. Also big thanks to the other adventurers as well for the battles with the 3 hags and the beholder... While I didn't find any good treasure I am happy that I escaped this place.Maybe that ruby ring that I have might fetch a good price in the future.

gogtrial34987: I'd love to hear more background about your roleplaying, if there was any hidden knowledge that made you steal the mirror, etc.
I had been planning to post once Turn 20 was over, I've just been busy today. Here you go:

For anyone curious, no, there was no secret Drow alliance that I am aware of nor did I get any instructions to mess with the party. I wasn't even trying to be particularly evil.

Cicatrix had the hidden backstory, which I communicated to Doc at the beginning, that read as follows:

"Sexually abused at a young age she has strong social needs but limited social ability, preferring to be alone than to risk being hurt.

"Cicatrix actively seeks approval from and social interaction with other women, especially ones who fall into mother or sister roles, but feels a significant but controllable fear of males.

"She will only tolerate being around male characters in group situations where other women are present. If she feels outnumbered or threatened Cicatrix will leave, even if it is a less effective or more dangerous option."

I then combined this with Doc's original explanation of the event: "You will all then start in a circular chamber and ... try to escape." [emphasis mine]

Had there been any female groups, or at least more female characters in the main groups, Cicatrix would have joined one happily regardless of racial alignments.

As it was, she would have preferred another tunnel but her movement was blocked by the centipede so she took South as the safest. Everything that followed from that was simply a matter of "what is the fastest route out of here?" combined with "how do I avoid all these guys who seem increasingly interested in chasing me".

Taking the mirror was simply a target of opportunity.

* * *

Doc: Thank you again for running this, it was a lot of fun. And thank you for the gift, too. Honestly, the forum game would have been completely worth it even without any prizes.
Congrats to the Southern Tunnel teams and to the A-Team! That was touch and go for a while there, you had the wife and I on the edge of our seats!

Thanks again, Doc, and to those who participated and those who helped coordinate. It was great to read of your adventures! :)
Thanks so much Doc! You've inspired me to learn the rules and DM a small game of my own. Great work!

Good job. The thought you put into Cicatrix's character came across in the way you played. It's also interesting that Cicatrix's fears of the others in the tunnel were justified, whether she knew it at the time or not.

Thanks to Doc for running this, and to the other players whose characters made this adventure a real treat. Special thanks to BenKii for his summaries.
Congrats and thanks to all adventurers and Doc. That was really very good, had so much fun reading it.

Those were some nasty hags you dispatched bravely:)
Hope Taz is a good person.

Oh yes! I hope that too. Who knows what kind of havoc he might wreak otherwise!

Tune in next year, when Taz will turn out to have been the mastermind behind it all, and our brave heroes will have to reassemble and attempt to break into his secret stronghold to end his evil reign of unending lightning bolts?

(I'd be up for it!)

Totally. It would be my duty to stop him!
Thank you adventures and the fellow members of “A-team”.
I am wondering if the inspiration for Doc regarding this title was the TV series or the Bards Tale game. In Bards tale the starting party of adventures was called the A-Team:
