Matewis: Sorry for the wait :P Here's a quickie based on an extremely low-quality image, which is the only one of three other equally low quality images that I could find of the dude. It's a memorable character though, in a well known game. The only thing I'm not sure about is the knife. I can't remember whether he had a cleaver like that, or another type of kitchen knife.

The face isn't 100% accurate, but it gives the general idea, and I want to continue with Thief:Gold now in anycase :P I just finished the very cool Assassins level :D
I remember him. It's Zuben from Westwood Studios' 1997 Blade Runner. I hope GOG get it here soon... still have the 4CDs.

Ty ty :) and we have a winner! Yup its Zuben from Blade Runner, my all-time favorite game. I'll never forget how he scared the crap out of me when he attacked me on the roof-top of my apartment building after I chased him out of his kitchen earlier that day :P Curiously I can't find any high quality images of him anywhere.

Well my first thought was Bomberman, but I didn't recognize the scene. But with this new hint, I'm guessing it's by Hudson, so maybe it really is a Bomberman game?

Wrong game, Correct company. New hint: Every Even stage (2, 4, 6...) has auto-side-scrolling action while riding ships in forms of animals. The Odd stages feature a maneuverable platform in order to fight the bosses.
