Night Dive's Facebook and Twitter feeds are about as informative as radio static. It's best to simply ignore them and just be surprised by any new releases if and when they happen.
I originally made this thread when there was a lot of positive buzz and good releases coming out of Night Dive's doors. Now it just seems they're trying to buy time for whatever they plan by leaving shallow teases on their social networks.

I'd also like them to upsell GOG.com a bit more, because I feel like they're increasingly taking attention away from them as their main focus seems to be Steam. If one of their game is on sale on Steam and GOG, they often just mention the steam on their Facebook, for instance. But comments have been nagging them to promote both, not just one.

I just want more classic re-releases, not re-releases of re-releases that originally came here barely a month ago. I'm glad this thread still get's messages though and I hope they start to brighten up in the future.

Niggles: Is it just me, or i starting to be a bit cynical of their announcements?
Already there, chief. It's why I call them Night Tease.

fortune_p_dawg: OMG! Harvester WITH DRM?! Hell yes, can't wait!
All my DOS Box games bought on Steam are DRM free (I can play them without the client after downloading). I think they can't integrate those classics with Steamworks.
Night Dive posted this on Twitter:"In the near future we're going to get to preview our next release(s)! So... that is exciting. Right?"
I am hoping for Lucas Arts, Star Trek Bridge Commander, Jurassic Park games [Operation Genesis, Chaos Island] and the first Freedom Force.
Goody, another chance to get hyped up for what amounts to "we're totally proud to announce that we've rescued a bunch of obscure games... from being GOG exclusive and will be bringing them to Steam where they can actually move units".
Night Dive said on Facebook that they got news coming.
Several of the Night Dive games are currently in a Bundlestars bundle (Which means yes, Steam only). Namely...

* 7th Guest
* 11th Hour
* Shadow Man

Also present is Desperados 1&2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky, Darkout, Heroes of Annihilated Empires and others. I know some wont want to touch this thanks to the steam-key only nature but... If there are those intrested, there they be. I think 7th Guest runs via ScummVM though, not sure....

They've just posted Deviant Art pics of a Humongous Ent Character - Spy Fox
Tommo has Humongous so wouldn't need help bringing stuff here, maybe Night Dive are getting involved with a Steam release?
Maybe Night Dive are just being random, as usual?

No, I think there's a connection. Humongous is saying they have something to announce soon also.

My pessimistic gut tells me it's Steam releases, probably only Steam for now, but obviously I won't be purchasing Steam versions of the games. :-/
Anyone else starting to think they don't want Night Dive getting their mitts on anymore games? :/

Well, Presto has been looking for a way to get the Journeyman Project games on Steam. It's probably that.

I'd love it if they could actually recover some games, not just profit off the hard work of other people.

Source?

Considering they recently posted a picture of Spy Fox and Humongous says they have big news coming, I still think it involves ND bringing the Humongous games to Steam. Maybe it's just a random post, but I don't think so.

That's an odd thing to say - why not?
They bring games to multiple DD platforms for a decent price and they often turn up in bundles - what more could you want?
I just wish Night Dive DID have their mitts at everything they've hinted at over the months, but I guess a lot of their posts are genuine retro-gaming goobs getting all bored and nostalgic...

They just posted about things becoming more colorful and to "not fear".

I'm quite sure they've struck a deal with Humongous, perhaps helping to actually port the games to modern machines.

However, I'm not quite as pessimistic because, although it may not mean anything, ND did like my comment that said, "I won't be purchasing Steam versions of the games but I do hope DRM-free re-releases happen! (will get those)"
