GOG.com: Coming soon: The Darkest Tales
Well, the graphics look gorgeous.
I hope, the game(play) will be equally nice.

Will give the demo (prologue) a shot.

Edit: Ok, tried the demo...not really convinced, yet.

First of all: if you want to use a controller, better use that from the start. Because apparently, once you clicked the mouse or used the keyboard - the controller won't be detected anymore as a suitable steering tool.

Speaking of the keyboard: you move with w-a-s-d, jump with space, and fight with (left) ctrl.
That's not really comfortable for a righthanded person like me. Especially using the ctrl key with my left pinky, while being attacked from two sides and you have to switch sides while counter-attacking.

Now, tbh: I didn't try to change the controls, so maybe I could change it to something more fitting for myself...but the default is definitely not good (for me!).

There are (too) long stretches of "nothingness" in the beginning stages, where you have nothing to do.

I'm also not sold on the VOs. But that's purely a matter of taste, of course.

Looks like M. Wahlberg got into trouble and Ted comes to rescue?
No idea why it isn't mentioned in the lame excuse for a new post, but what seems to be a demo is here.
I'll get this game if I get to be Teddy Ruxpin or Snuggle...

Maybe because everyone who is interested in the game, will click on the link to the game's page to read further - and then discover the link to the demo, there?

There exist people like me who rarely bother to open the product page for a game that isn't even available yet. But a demo that one can actually download and play now? That's a different story. ;)

She is not my owner! I just...❤️ her. She needs to be rescued. I have to go⭐️

Yeah, but how did you know there was a demo in the first place?

And it's really not hidden, if you're interested in the game:

I saw it in the "New" tab of the "Discover games" section near the bottom of the front page. (That's currently the only way to see the most recent additions to the catalogue, since GOG no longer has the "recently added" sort order on the main search page, so I try to check it daily.) I guessed it had to be a demo, but wanted to check this thread to see if it had been mentioned, and it hadn't.

My point, though, was that as long as they're going to keep doing the release news posts at all, they might as well give other relevant links therein. It's not as if it's likely that whomever wrote the post was exhausted by the gargantuan effort of composing it. :)
Wishlisted but not sure how good it is.
So it is not really family friendly, ha-ha. (●'◡'●)
