Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is coming soon DRM-free.

A tactical adventure game combining the turn-based combat of XCOM with story, exploration, stealth, and strategy. Take control of a team of Mutants navigating a post-human Earth.
I wonder if the denuvo protection being cracked for this game has sped up the release of it here DRM free on GOG as well as getting it included in a humble bundle so soon after release? ie: cash grab while they can
So, any ETA ?
Can't wait. Avoided from Steam due to Denuvo. Insta-buy now on GOG. Thanks much!
After the crap I heard, I was not expecting this would ever show up here.
Hmm. Swedish pen-and-paper RPG, translated to English and then made into a video game? Yeah, I'm interested. Sadly, it's Windows-only.

I've really been trying to cut down on my purchases, but I am getting this on GOG sooner rather than later, hopefully.

I played a little bit on Xbox and it's a fun and unique game. Can't wait for it to come here.

reative00: Just to be clear:

Quote from their community manager:
"Just wanted to pop in and give our official statement about Denuvo.
We are using Denuvo because we want to protect the hard work the developers have put into the game from piracy. Unfortunately we are not in a position where we can release a game without some form of copy protection and Denuvo, being the industry standard, has proven itself to be effective in preventing piracy. We currently don't have any plans to remove Denuvo from MYZ: Road to Eden."

This post was marked by developers as "answer to original topic" (about Denuvo):
"Basically its a harmless software that stops piracy or rather aims to slow down piracy, however tinfoil hat people are convinced its using their $299 walmart pc to mine crypto currency or is collecting infomation on their my little pony fetish to sell to the russians :P
in short the type of people who cry about it are the type of people the game/community is better without."
OMG did they really say THAT?! Do you maybe have a source?

eiii: Interesting game, the screenshots also look good, but unfortunately there's no Linux version...

Maybe it could potentially work with Wine+DXVK... The latter made some impressive progress over the year... Also Wine just recently incoprorated some useful audio related patches that could potentially help get rid off crackling audio in a lot of games run under it...

i_hope_you_rot: Who's dumb idea was to release the game on Gog right after everyone bought it from Humble as part of a $12 bundle ?
Im wondering what are the odds that this game is not gonna be released here until the next Monthly goes live :P...

Can somebody give me an advice? I know it's kind of offtopic. But it's also kind of related so...
I saw the game trailer long ago and it made me pretty hyped... I didn't buy the game before due to limited finances.
Now suddenly the game is in HB Monthly and ALSO HERE...
I have around 10 tokens for Humble Monthly as I bought yearly plan on some discount some time ago...
And Im wondering where should I get it... I very STRONGLY am rooting for drm-free in general so generally it would be a goal to get it HERE eventually but I also have very limited budget and quite frankly cannot afford buying the game HERE now (Monthly is a different case as I already have tokens and don't have to spend any more money now) especially since GOG prices are usually inflated...

And FYI for the reasons Im not exactly willing to talk about Im not willing to use GOG Connect so I would have to rebuy the game in case I would get it outside of here first...

What you guys think about where should I get it?

Do you wish to play it right away or soon? If you are willing to wait (no huge urgency to tackle the game), you can put the game on your GOG wishlist and hold up till it hits the right discount. If you are excited to play it, then just simply buy the game at HB then, since your finances are severely limited.

You can support DRM-free by buying other games on GOG (within your budget) as and when you can. ^_^
