Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is coming soon DRM-free.

A tactical adventure game combining the turn-based combat of XCOM with story, exploration, stealth, and strategy. Take control of a team of Mutants navigating a post-human Earth.
Anybody else getting XCom Enemy Unknown vibes? I mean not because of the genre, but it looks like a reskin of XCom: EU. The maps look samey, just like the UI and the menus (and probably some other things).
Not meant in a bad way btw, wishlisted the game for now.

Edit: Really hope the game comes with a decent release discount, anything else would be a bummer considering it's up for 12€ on Humble Bundle.

It sort of remind me of both Xcom and Phantom Doctrine (more phantom Doctrine) especially with the stealth and surprise system they have in the game but with a bunch more rpg systems/elements.

On one hand, I'd like to support removal of Denuvo from games in the vain hopes all publishers realize not doing so costs them sales.

On the other, I am not too keen on supporting a company that decided to mock customers who weren't fond of their decision to use Denuvo in the first place.
I respect these devs for not shafting GOG users on Achievements, like many/most other devs do.
This is one of the most fun times I have had playing a game in the last couple years. It is top-quality work! So glad it's coming to GOG!!

After how hard they went with the DRM here only to see it fail even more spectacularly than it did with Conan maybe a bit of love from GOG will get them to pull their heads out going forward and not make stupid decisions on every level with every game they lay hands on.

Plus, they're the publishers, so condemning this game because of their poor business decisions (I didn't hold it against RiME when they pulled Denuvo and released on GOG) and an idiot mod that the company didn't support is like punishing Level 5 for doing a great job with Ni No Kuni II because Bandai Namco can be real pricks.

You're right. I haven't honestly realized that this isn't developer = publisher case. In that situation, I'm gonna buy it just to support the devs; I don't think that "denuvo -> okey, we've realized our mistake, let's go DRM-free" like with RiME is a problem, it's actually fairly happy ending, after all this is the same thing that CDPR did with Witcher 2 (anyone remember infamous threat letters to customers in Germany and their stance on DRM back then?). The issue here was mostly their attitude towards customers; you can say "we understand that some companies prefer to release their games DRM-free, we're not keen on that, thanks for understanding" instead of "u bunch of crazy conspiracy theorists lol".
Yeah, finally a GOG release. :)
Who's dumb idea was to release the game on Gog right after everyone bought it from Humble as part of a $12 bundle ?
Interesting game, the screenshots also look good, but unfortunately there's no Linux version...

On a side note, game cards on GOG are getting more and more annoying. As if we do not already have to scroll down enough to get to essential game information we now even have to scroll over a bunch of videos. What's the top bar with game videos and screenshots meant for when the game cards are still cluttered with pictures and videos?

I imagine it will be more expensive than in HB but, I do not care,I will buy it anyway.

Maybe they'll do it right and release via Connect...

Of course, if they were going to do that, it would've been last month so it happened BEFORE the Humble Bundle.

Honestly though, with this and Northgard both in the bundle, it's almost tempting to buy it even though it's Steam.

I'll get it here though, and hope Northgard follows it, because even with both of them being full price it'd be closer to worth it than getting them for $12 and being locked to Steam.

reative00: At this point, according to crackwatch, the game has been cracked for 41 days. So I guess it's "well we hate the idea of DRM-free games but it's cracked already so let's publish it on GoG and just grab some additional bucks"?
Mmh, yeah, I totally see myself giving money to such respectful devs...
