The galactic Summer Sale on GOG.COM still shines in the sky with over 3000 game deals up to 95% off. Today we present you with 3 fun titles that you can claim and download for free.

Ascendant is an action-adventure game that puts you in the shoes of a mighty demigod. While journeying through on the planet controlled by his rivals, our hero must use every blessing and spell at his disposal to survive. This colorful indie game poses quite a challenge to the player. The permanent death system and randomly generated levels will throw you into a new world each time you begin a fresh game.

Delores: A Thimbleweed Park Mini-Adventure is an indie adventure game that will take you on a retro-style journey. As Delores Edmund, a game developer and a part-time photographer, you must journey into the Thimbleweed Park to uncover some mind-blowing mysteries. The game serves as a tie-in to the award-winning Thimbleweed Park from the creators of the famous Monkey Island series - Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick.

War Wind is a classic RTS set on a distant planet of Yavain. Take command of one of the four unique armies and try to take control of the alien world. The game bears much resemblance to another hit from 1996 - Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, yet it brought many innovations to the table. Level advancement, spell-casting system, biomechanically enhanced monsters – those are only a few features that will help make it through 28 ready-to-play scenarios.

the ascendant is not free, but thanks

War Wind looks like the kind of Warcraft clone I'd sink a lot of time into... some 20 years ago, and Ascendant isn't really my kind of thing, but for free, yeah, why not? I'll add them and maybe give them a shot sooner or later.

Delores though, even though being a point & click it looks far more up my alley, I don't think I'll get even for free. Ron Gilbert, when releasing Thimbleweed Park, was so much of an asshole to all the devs who brought the genre back from the dead and kept it alive over the years with great new titles and to their fans, that I don't feel like playing his game at all.
Thank you for freebies gog! :)

BeatriceElysia: 1) last sale we had Mable and the Wood free -> very underwhelming game
2) this sale we have free demos
3) is gog struggling?
It's a sale ... not a giveaway ;) and there are many good discounted games available. Freebies should always be considered as a bonus and not as a requirement in a sale imo.

@everybody who was waiting for Delores: be aware that this game really needs Windows 10 to launch at all. I am glad that it is here but those that still use older windows versions (this is GOG so I guess some will still use older systems) unfortunately are out of luck. This is not a critizsm it's just a well meant information for those people to prevent that they are disappointed after download.

@GOG: If you are interested in offering the free "Unbound: Worlds Apart" Prologue (aka demo) - game in development right now, the devs would love to bring the demo here so you'd just need to ask them or contact me and I'd tell them.

tfishell: Thanks GOG! Please bring other already-free games! (like Heroine's Quest, Railroad Tycoon 1, Alien Carnage, etc.)
Once in an Earth history, all free games would become officially free ^ somewhere... on...
Official, checked, organic, vegan, environmental-friendly, free range, halal, kosher, ital, gluten-free, wok-fried, kasha topped,
non-gmo, non-msg, fair trade, certified platform, I guess it would be here :D

Thank you for free games, paradoxically it is inspiring me to buy even more : )

YAY!
Delores arrived at last.

Sadly the other 2 games are not my kind of games - but I'll try them nevertheless.
I like the art, the colour combination of Ascendant, and those worms and centipedes. LOL

Yes, I have a heart for monsters and aliens, and I found some cute ones in War Wind too; especially the 3-eyed E.T..
