The galactic Summer Sale on GOG.COM still shines in the sky with over 3000 game deals up to 95% off. Today we present you with 3 fun titles that you can claim and download for free.

Ascendant is an action-adventure game that puts you in the shoes of a mighty demigod. While journeying through on the planet controlled by his rivals, our hero must use every blessing and spell at his disposal to survive. This colorful indie game poses quite a challenge to the player. The permanent death system and randomly generated levels will throw you into a new world each time you begin a fresh game.

Delores: A Thimbleweed Park Mini-Adventure is an indie adventure game that will take you on a retro-style journey. As Delores Edmund, a game developer and a part-time photographer, you must journey into the Thimbleweed Park to uncover some mind-blowing mysteries. The game serves as a tie-in to the award-winning Thimbleweed Park from the creators of the famous Monkey Island series - Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick.

War Wind is a classic RTS set on a distant planet of Yavain. Take command of one of the four unique armies and try to take control of the alien world. The game bears much resemblance to another hit from 1996 - Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, yet it brought many innovations to the table. Level advancement, spell-casting system, biomechanically enhanced monsters – those are only a few features that will help make it through 28 ready-to-play scenarios.

Thanks for the freebees!

I already had bought War Wind last year, but the other 2 games are welcome, especially Ascendant with it's Linux version. To get Delores running on Linux might be harder with the DX12 requirement.
Is ascendant free? for me, it shows costing money. is it free or not?
I've been waiting for Delores, now it's finally here! :)

And, since technically it's a prototype for Ron Gilbert's new point-and-click engine, I hope we'll see more games of his in the future.

Hope more classic games that have been made free end up on GOG, if anything just to help spread awareness of the games.

Same here, fellow Brazilian! It shows a R$ 19,99 price tag.

I've just added it to my account without paying money. But the "payment" process was quite slow. I guess GOG's systems are a bit overloaded at the moment. So it might take some time until the price is updated everywhere.
And now it says i have 301 games, thanks for the 3 free games.

gogtrial34987: Since Thimbleweed Park is available for Linux, any chance that Delores will get a Linux version as well, still? Would be greatly appreciated!
That of course would be really nice!

BeatriceElysia: 1) last sale we had Mable and the Wood free -> very underwhelming game
2) this sale we have free demos
3) is gog struggling?
No, you've just became spoiled. :P

Joking aside, freebies are nice, but i'd rather have new releases instead. Bethesda, 2K & Square Enix really surprised lately, so i can't wait for more!
Warwind as a freebie? I already had it of course, but that's a very welcome move... and a rather good game for its time. Thanks GOG!
Still angry about that the freeware version of Spelunky being behind the GOG paywall as you have to pay for the retail version to get the freeware version.

EDIT: I'm not quite serious, though there is some truth to it. Why does GOG only enable access to freeware variants that can be downloaded for free as an official offer on other sites such as the developers site itself but not here?
