dudalb: I am hoping for a GOG release, since the game simply does not run on any WIndows beyond XP.

BTW Bloodrayne actuall started as a sequel to Nocturne.

Epitaph666: Now that we KNOW that GOG buys rights for certain games, MAY we hope they do so for Nocturne and the Blair Witch Project games?

And WHY NOT, after they release Witcher III and its expansions, after they release Cyberpunk, they CAN start working on a Nocturne Sequel! Or a Vampire The Masquerade sequel!

dudalb: Because ,frankly, Nocturne was not that popular a game when first released.,and it does not have a large following.
I will be happy if GOG just gets the game in a form playable on a modern computer. I think any sequels are a LONG way in the future.
Ok, Here's to a Q3/Q4 2015 release then!
I mean how many WORTHWHILE old games there are to release? NOT MANY!!

How priorities change!

After all, i didn't even continue that "project". Life can crush you.

Aaahh, anyway, i'm still able to buy games from GOG.
Still waiting for the Nocturne release here.

Still waiting for Take2 to be added here.

So i guess life hasn't crushed me that much.
Anyone has those fan-made levels that this guy made back in the day?
And here I thought you were referring to Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. =P

monkeydelarge: That is not my blog. People share usernames on the internet, you know. There are some usernames shared by thousands or hundreds of thousands of people or more. I don't know how that happens but it does. And those two last names were a joke.
Good To know!

So, now that 2K games is on GOG, is it possible we can get Nocturne?

Depends on whether the IP was Take-Two's or it remained with Terminal Reality. If the second scenario is true, then I wonder who owns it now that Terminal Reality is no more.
Night Dive studios would be the ones to court on this... I have a boxed copy, i love this game.. and would happily buy it here..

talking about horror games why no get Nightmare Creatures here too ^_^ or

KISS Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child!

Actually I think Night Dive are currently swamped with the System Shock 1 remake and Turok 2 Remastered, and all the hype surrounding those. I could be wrong though. (I assume they have little to do with System Shock 3.)

Ideally 2K do have the rights, and they'll be willing to work with GOG.

MAN!!! A version of Nocturne with achievements would be great!

Imagine playing Nocturne on 1080p and with the now-lost fan-made maps! I don't really know if they can remaster the sounds or any of the code, cause the source code must be a hell to find...

It's a shame we haven't seen a Nocturne game in 17 years...

Edit : Psycho Circus and Nightmare Creatures are also on my wishlist for games to appear here. Was drooling over them when i was young.

Fanmade maps? As in new levels, or literal maps of the existing ones?

I've got a retail copy of Nocturne working on Win7 x64- it's not the most stable game I've ever played, but it's playable, and it's definitely deserving of the GOG treatment.

I just wish Terminal Reality had used the engine to make a Hellboy game. Heck, just pretend that Spookhouse is a branch of the BPRD and Nocturne is already the best Hellboy game out there, even if the big red guy himself is absent. Not that being better than the two official Hellboy games is much of an achievement.

As i remember reading about 4 years ago, there was some fan that made a few maps for Nocturne. Can't really say much about their quality since i've never found them, but it was known to the freaks that played the game back in 1999-2000 that they did exist.

Anyone has more info on that?
I would contribute in a heartbeat. Still remember the fun times in the Spookhouse site.
love to see all 3 of the blair witch games here in a pack the one with the nocturne engine was spooky and fun..
