I remember read a "good/very good" calification for Starcraft at the local version of PC Gamer magazine (called pc juegos) and I was shocked. Then they published a top 50 of all time XX century games (at December 1999) and put starcraft on 2nd position (that was weird) and Age of Empires 2 on the 2nd position. This guys were hilarious.

I love starcraft and I belive than is better than Age of Empires 2. Hey I love Age of Empires 2 but I'm talking about Starcraft and I feel that game like best RTS of all time with any difficult to reach that archivment and one of my favourite PC games of all time too. Sorry for my bad english, guys. And for my comment! the thread was about "but I like.." and I'm talking like "But... this game is the best ever!!!!!"

Tallima: I would love to like FarCry 2, but if die, I have to replay 20 minutes of boring driving. That's what killed it for me.

timppu: The console version? The PC version has save-anywhere (IIRC).
It was PC version. That may give it a lot more life. I'll have to look back into it. I personally really enjoyed the gun-jamming.

I got the console version of FC3 and I loved it.
lollipop chainsaw: Not sure why by i can't stop playing.

Knights of Xentar: even without the adult photo I still enjoy this game.
Pong.

Everyone kept saying "Hey, it's just two rectangles and a square bouncing back & forth," but I liked it.
Conker: Live and Reloaded - Everyone hates it, I love it to pieces.

Grand Theft Auto 4 - Everyone seems to hate it except me and reviewers, my second favorite game of all time.

Hotline Miami 2 - Horrible reviews here.

Gone Home - Everyone hates it, I liked it.

Manhunt - A lot of people don't like the hell out of it, I think it's brilliant.
Did someone mention Castlevania: Lords of Shadow?

ShadowAngel.207: I liked Resident Evil 4 when it came out. Fans crapped all over it for not being like the previous games, for me it was the other way around. I always thought the first Resident Evil's were hilariously bad in my oppinion, so the change RE4 saw was really great.
When people who liked the previous ones disliked it, and people who disliked the previous ones liked it, even if it was a good game wouldn't you agree it should not have been titled resident evil?

snowkatt: well i kinda like bloodrayne 1 and 2

Fallout Tactics

So little games show the science of ambush as such an artform.

Why would that game have bad reviews?

tinyE: Deus Ex it ain't! :P

Grargar: Darthspudius doesn't like Deus Ex so much, so what you say is mostly a recommendation to him. :P
lol well yes.
Deus Ex: Coffee Wars-- I mean, Invisible War. It's probably the only game I know of where I can set up a chain of corpses and set one end near a fire barrel and have them repeatedly light each other on fire.

I loved Resi 1-4 and 6. The change of game play kept it fresh, the biggest problem is the fans rather than the games. Sure they were different but how many times can you run round the same places doing the same things.
Thunderscape, very good FPP dungeon crawler, fuck the graphics whores who didn't like it

darthspudius: Resident Evil 6 and Castlevania Lord of Shadows comes under this for me. Bad reputation but are well built, great looking games.
I didn't recall LoS being smashed by the media and, since it was developed by a Spanish studio, I was wondering if my perception was influenced by a Spanish media being overly biased towards the game. This doesn't seem the case though, or at least I can't relate bad reputation to a Metacritic score of 80-85 for both critic and user reviews. On the other hand, the average Metacritic score for RE6 drops down to 70-75 for the critic reviews and just 50-55 for those of the users.

l0rdtr3k: I assume some of you said that when you read the reviews of a game that you really like and it turns out that most of them are negative.
Quite the opposite: there are many games I dislike or found mediocre at best are praised with 5 stars ;(
But I know the feeling when your favorite games gets *unfair* criticism or lack of love. Nobody like Kyrandia like I do ;)
