tinyE: I've seen a lot of people posts on Steam and around the web that GOG is all pirates.
Well, I guess some people's argument has been that "only pirates care if a game had DRM", which of course if BS but that's their belief, they can't think of any other valid reason for not wanting DRM in your games other than that you are going to share them with the rest of the world, sell them for profit, molest hapless baby seals with them etc., all kinds of nasty and illegal things.

Oh well.

I'm not sure I want to know how molesting baby seals got into this conversation. :P
GOG vs "Subscribing"

I got my wakeup call thanks to an internet outage, and Steams garbage "offline mode" I found out the hard way I didn't own anything. As soon as I found GOG I've refused to buy anything from the DRM vendor.

UltraComboTV: and Steams garbage "offline mode"
I've never had any trouble with this other than the fact that I don't get achievements, which I don't care about anyway.

As for not owning your games, yeah that's a given, and the price I pay for wanting to play Portal.

I think it's even funnier because nowadays DRM is probably the best argument anyone can have in favor of pirating games.
Sturgeon's Law, 90% of everything is crap, and that includes people.

Steam is bound to have a vocal number of retards simply because of the vast number of users. Look at some of the user game reviews. One user gave B-17 The Mighty Eighth a bad review because of "poor gameplay and sucky graphics". At the time I saw that review, the reviewer only had 1 hour of gameplay time.

Another Steam user gave Worms: Armageddon a bad review because "the controls were too hard for anyone to master". Personally, I never found the controls "too hard" but I guess reviewer incompetence is the games fault.

Hell, look at Youtube comments if you really want to destroy your faith in the human race. I'm sure anyone who has at least a semi-functioning brain can see the irony in a comment that contains lots of ad-hom attacks, threats and overuse of the f word yet at the very end of the comment says you should educate yourself.

Most people are morons anyway, just don't let it get to you.

I thought 90% of everything was water.

visconteprimus: Well, it's not an organised group but I find disturbing seeing there is even only one person thinking such foolishness!
There could be elements of it that are. How would you know?
Steam is the only place I can get my Rabi Ribi fix.
.......what?

deja65: The irony is so strong with this one.

Breja: The most delicious irony would be if those same people were to turn out to be G2A users. Which would not surprise me in the slightest.
The irony is that complaints about G2A are used to attack consumers free market rights of buying games where they please and benefiting from globalisation too.
Just let the Steam gamers play their leased games ... ;)

No because they're dragging everyone down with them. Now it's spread to serious hardware like VR.
I hear drinking bleach is a great way to wash the brain

"Everything"? How would that even work? Is water only 90% water? What's the other 10%?!

Okay not everything, but I know people are 90% water.
