If you want inspiration, Pathfinder (1st and 2nd edition, as well as "Space Pathfinder" AKA Starfinder) are open licensed games. Here is their official online source material: https://aonprd.com/

(It's hard to learn from that, but it's great for reference and daydreaming!)

Note: There are a few rare things missing from it due to licensing issues, such as cross-over content from Vampire Hunter D and some other comics. Some of those may be on the (not as nicely laid out) 3rd party fansite, d20pfsrd.com in a genericised, IP-filed-off way.

Pandaren Brewmaster, one love!

Panda-man which is always eager to share a cup of freshness with friend (and, occasionally, foe), mmmmm...
New race: Oozekin. Sentient, shapeshifting oozes that have chosen to assume humanoid form. Can temporarily mimic any other race at will, and gain their innate abilities for a few rounds (aasimar's halo, elven darkvision, etc.) The most advanced and experienced oozekin can manifest multiple racial traits at once, for longer periods of time.
Golemancer. A craftsman/mage specialized in building golems. He can build one out of anything, be it wood, stone, metal or some arcane material. His personal manor would have nothing but golem servants doing all sorts of tasks and he'd have golem bodyguards traveling with him.

That's my dream RPG character but he'd have to be filthy rich to be able to build so many.
Astronomologist - a support class which combines knowledge of astronomy and astrology to find the easiest, safest, or otherwise most opportune path to the goal, at the same time keeping the mental states of party members in check.
Class: Coin Shaman

Features: By communicating with the spirits of wealth, he can create whatever is needed by using coins. For example, he can enlarge a coin to use as a shield, he can join up several coins at once to create any weapon or armor, he can toss coins as shuriken (the edge of the coin immediately becomes sharp). He can also build structures out of coins, like bridges and ladders. These coin made objects become magical as the Coin Shaman goes up in level.

Downsides: Everything built by the Coin Shaman has limited duration, when the things he creates out of coins expire, the coins dissolve into thin air, so it is a most expensive character class to take. Also, he must wear and use the most inexpensive and shoddy gear possible, otherwise, the spirits of wealth think that he no longer needs their assistance, since he seems to be doing pretty well on his own! This means that he always has the worst armor class and weakest weapons on him, when not using special coin gear created by him of course!

Party Role: He is a versatile class that can serve as a tank, damage dealer or for utility purposes based on how he decides to use his coins; but because of the time limit placed on his coin creations, he will have to spend a lot of coins for each use of his power, therefore, he only acts at his full power when necessary, being more of a wild card when the situation starts going south.

Ok so here is my idea for a new race.

The Shadow Walkers:

The shadow walkers are an elusive and ancient race who people have only heard of in legend and folk myth. They keep to themselves and only interact with other races in a strictly “must do” basis. As their name implies, they live in the shadows, but this is much more literal than one might believe.
The Shadows Walkers have the natural ability to enter the shadows projected by objects and people, while inside the shadows they are both invisible and intangible and due to this can’t interact with objects of the material world while they are inside the shadows. While inside a shadow they are similar to a ghost or spirit, but they are bound to the “borders” of the shadow they have entered. They can move inside these shadows, but they can only walk in them as far s the shadow’s projection reaches. If they want to continue moving outside of the shadow’s reach, they must exit it and thus turn visible and tangible.
While inside the shadow of a living being a Shadow Walker can use the ability “Shadow Strike” which consists of cutting off a portion of the living being’s shadow. If successful this attack will render the living beings body part useless for a duration of two turns. Example: If a Shadow Walker uses A Shadow strike on a Knight’s sword arm, he will not be able to attack using this arm for two turns. If he does so on the leg of the knight, he won’t be able to move said leg and thus be unable to run or reposition himself.
While out in the open and as long as the sun is shining a Shadow Walker will suffer a penalty of -2 to Perception and -2 to all its attack rolls. This depuffs don’t apply when bathed in artificial light, like that of torches. A magical light source however will count as sunlight to apply these debuffs.
The shadow Walkers are humanoid in in shape, their skins are the color of burn wood (different shades of black, charcoal and ash grey) and have absolutely no body hair. Their eyes are usually yellow but some have green and amber eyes. As you could imagine, their eyes are very good at seeing in the dark but are very sensitive to natural light.
Globetrotter Of Grundinnar
* dwarven only subclass of Rogue
* no Sneak Attack
* Greater Trapfinding (instead of 1/2, globetrotters add their full level to all Perception rolls)
* can repair obsolete equipment and make it useable again (used mostly in dialogs and scripted events)

Globetrotters Of Grundinnar travel the world in search of old, long forgotten artifacts which they uncover, repair (if needed) and deliver back to dwarven communities. The artifacts are often hidden in heavily trapped containers but any globetrotter can use their Disarm Riches Maneuver to circumvent them.

the game could do with some aquatic or marsh adept creatures. Given that we already have a creature from Japanese mythology in the Kitsune, we may also add some mermaid like creatures: ningyo.

I would keep an overall human-like appearance and shape, but with scally greyish skin, webbed toes and fingers, three sets of eyelids like a corcodile, a long tail, really tall and slender.

Best habitat would be a bog or marsh. Because of their environment they would pretty adept at being skalds(damp environments are not good for paper, so oral tradition would be common), shamans or druids (great reliance on the environment, so probably they would have a great respect for nature and worship it), and alchemist (toxines and poisons are easy to come by in a swamp).
I spent a long time creating my own race for pathfinder.
I basically used the half-dragon template as the bases of a build your own dragon PC race.
The background concept was, what would happen if a large enough group of humanoid half dragons bred together until their dragon breeds and humanoid ancestries were no longer recognizable.
For lack of a better name I simply called them Half-Dragons
Key features:
Appearance: they look like small (medium size) humanoid dragons, with pointed reptilian heads, clawed hands and feet, wings and a long tail. Any coloration, does not have to match breed or energy type.
Dragon Type
Energy type and breath weapon: at character creation, an energy type is chosen and breath weapon shape is chosen. The half dragon character gains immunity to the chosen energy type and a breath weapon that has the chosen shape and deals the chosen energy type.
Natural Weapons: Claw/Claw/Bite/Tail
Fly Speed
Dominate Dragon Breed: The half dragon chooses a dominate true dragon breed (from a list based on their chosen energy type). This is to determine which racial feats they qualify for.
Racial Feats: I created over 100 racial feats for my half-dragon race (and half dragons in general) in order for PCs to gain some of the cool powers that true dragons have, like a silver dragon's cloudwalking ability or a solar dragon's primal fire (allowing it to harm creatures immune to fire with its breath weapon)

Note: this is a powerful race defined by its class levels, and thus follows the rules found on p313 of the Pathfinder Bestiary for playing monster races. I did create additional rules for my half-dragon race to play them at 1st level, and grow into their full power.
New Race/class : Aquarius , a water form race that control water in many arts and kind depending on the 3 masteries: liquid, frozen, steam / gas !
this is an initial idea, and I love to see ideas to improve and complete my suggestion =)
New race: Deathbender

Once warriors, killed by torture, murder, hate crimes, they end up returning from the underworld by a powerful and unknown force.
It is not known if they are actually alive, as their bodies no longer heal of their injuries and their memories, over time, deteriorate.
When Deathbenders come back from the dead, they gain an abnormal strength. What make them be deadly warriors. Their skin tones becomes pale, as if their bodies no longer regenerates the blood lost in their "deaths".
Mysteriously, Deathbenders become introspective. Their personalities slowly fade away and they become known as people who talk less and observe more.
It's also rare to see any of them in inns looking for food or drink, but it's common to see them in fights and wars, as if they were somehow attracted by the blood shed on the battlefields.

Geomancer: a class which uses all natural resources and take advantages from territory and its characteristics: rocks, mud, sand, etc...
