No, I don't.

Would you mind explaining, please?
Personally, I think Far Cry looks really good. Very jungly/tropical. The water effects are particularly nice.

I felt the burn on that :)

For my money no game has ever given me that "OMG WOW" feeling like first steeping out in Skyrim... seeing ruins in the distance and being able to walk to them...

For space Earth and Beyond had its own unique style and it looked/felt/played amazingly.... so many beautiful memories and systems.... i cannot forget that game, and i compare all space games to it to this day.

Another one thats pure artistic styling is XIII its simply beautiful and the cell shading was so new and never seen before.

The only other game thats stands out is Jade Empire.... i bought a damn Xbox for that game and only for that game... it was fantastic and continues to be one of the greatest gaming experiences in my life.

Out of these, I have to say Skyrim, still takes my breath away!

Hey, I was only half joking. I was blown away by that trailer. Oh the graphics and the possibilities... and I'm genuinely sorry that the game turned out to be something different. I feel sorry for the disappointed buyers and because I would have liked to enjoy the experience presented in the trailer (in a few years, when the price goes down to my allowed range).

I hope it's not the same with Star Citizen and the gorgeous-looking trailers + gameplay promises. They better deliver, because I have actually put money on it, breaking all my self-imposed rules for buying games :-D

Breja: I don't know... The Trine games are gorgeous. Chains of Satinav was beautiful, very "painting-like". Apotheon is also a strong contender.
I have to agree about Trine 1&2 for sure. I'm not fond of platformers and not a big art fan either per se, but looking at the screenshots of Trine alone got me interested in it as it looked graphically beautiful. Seeing the smooth fluid animation and other dynamics made an impression on me so I picked it up on sale eventually and it was one of the first platformers I played in years and I actually enjoyed it enough to get the 2nd game and play it through also.

I have Chains of Satinav and had it installed for some beta testing briefly but didn't really get a chance to play it so can't comment on that. Dunno the other game at all.

Aside from Witcher 3, Skyrim was the previous big amazing game I played before that, and it blew me away also, not to the same degree as Witcher 3 but nonetheless I was very impressed much in the same way it sounds like you were. The beginning sequence in the opening town (Helgen? I forget the name) was pretty wicked. Skyrim was an amazing game, I put over 600 hours into it.

I just alayed the Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux yesterday and I've got to say it look astonishingly well.
I am personally usually for more cartoony graphics but I can't deny it looks awesome.

Great, tinyE...
Now, everyone is worried that you might be their dad, making Regals their granddad.
Pong

I love the minimalism. It's perfect.

I'm sure there's games I'm not thinking of and others I'm not experienced with that could be better, but the art direction for

The Sunless Sea

is great!

DaCostaBR: In terms of art direction.
Difficul question! :D Many, many great games with polished art.

Two videogames that I saw (and I keep the same opinion today) very beautiful in art direction:

Pillars of Eternity
The Witcher 3

Divinity Original Sin of Larian Studios I would say that is very good in that too.

Jotun, interesting the art.

ANd, now I don´t remember others games, I think only these made a big impact to me recently (in terms of art direction, like OP @DaCostaBR said :D )

Btw, The Witcher 3 would be the winner in my list.

See you!

Speaking of which, did you know that Bethesda once developed a "Where's Waldo?" video game? Imagine if they remade it in the Fallout 4 engine.

I'm shocked there aren't any out there now. That would be a great base for a series of games.

You Madagascans seem to have a vibrant arts industry.

There's Madagascar the video game, and the blockbuster movie Madagascar: Operation Penguin.
