tinyE: I remember someone took me to see The Ring when I was going through chemo, to try to cheer me up.

It did. I can tell you how cheered up I was when the credits rolled and I realized that piece of shit was over. :P

agogfan: You can reward yourself by watching Scary Movie 3. Their parody of The Ring is the best part.
I loved their parody on The Grudge

Meh, the curator's performance is excellent. The slime is worthy. I love Ernie Hudson. It's a decent movie.

That's true, I forgot the horror part.

I might go with another Tim Burton movie, Sleepy Hollow then. That usually is in the horror section.

I hated Ghostbusters 2. I almost got lynched in the other thread for saying as much. :P

Oh and back on topic, the 1st 2/3 of the remake of House on Haunted Hill. The last 3rd is some shit CGI myst rolling around and it ruins the movie.

but that's not about a ghost :þ

There's this movie called "The Entity" (1982) that is really farking creepy and is about, you guessed it, an entity. Not fully a ghost, but, kind of a ghost story. Also based on a true story. Really scary, imo.

Good one. Very scary. Very disturbing.
"Pulse" (1988) is kind of a ghost story too.

Wow, I remember that movie from when I was a kid. That movie gave me nightmares. :)

Pulse ,both the old one and the remake are very nice.

Also, Ju On. The Japanese versions of the Grudge are definitely great.
EDIT: Session 9 is a must see as well, even if the presence of a ghost is rather ambiguous.
