Indeed, and there have been a lot of reports from the UK in particular about disenfranchised young Muslims being semi-radicalised, heading off to Syria and Iraq and finding that their "religious heroes" were nothing more than uneducated thugs who wanted to feel superior without actually earning the right to do so. Many of them end up being stuck there (or in Turkey), despite wanting to come back (and in many cases being genuinely regretful).

It's not difficult to brainwash the uneducated, especially when they come from a society that treats them as the lowest of the low, which is how most European societies tend to treat low-income families of Asian or African descent.

It's not just something that you think is so, it's something that has long been known and proven (but which seems to fly over the heads of many people anyway)

i was actually going to mention that. Do you know what makes this funny (in a sad way)? When the (Finnish) kids dress themselves as witches, they wear a head scarf, not really different from a hijab. (For those who don't know, hijab is the one where your face isn't covered, only your hair/ears/neck. So the face itself is still fully visible.).
