Matewis: It's slower than I remember, and due to the lack of regional pricing it's often way, way more expensive than steam. And I'm not too nuts about some design choices either, not to mention some persistent issues with the forum. But eh, I don't know, I still like coming here and hanging around in the forums for the occasional friendly exchange (forum does seem far less lively compared to years ago though). That and, I much prefer not having to run a game through a client.
Lack of regional pricing? Being a VPN user, I can tell you that GOG definitely has regional pricing.

There are some differences, but they've solved that problem in a fair way by compensating the customer with the difference in price as store credit. As a returning customer, the net cost for games is better than Steam in many cases.
