So its that time of year again and since its a time honored gog custom I'm throwing a humble 30th Birthday Giveaway. I have handpicked eight games that I'm very fond off and in my opinion should be played by everybody. As for myself I'm still longtime unemployed and still hope to get some job in the future. Eitherway, good luck to the competitors and now onwards to the rules.

Rules:
- Must have joined gog.com before June 2015
- Some forum presence outside of giveaway/code drop threads
- Say I'm in and name of the game you want
- You can enter for yourself or somebody else
- Winners will be decided by random number generation aka random.org.
- Name the game you love the most (in general) and explain why
- Giveaway ends on 31.12.2015 at 12:00 AM CET.

GAMES LIST:

<span class="bold">ZEUS + POSEIDON (ACROPOLIS): </span>
Personally, its one of the best and funniest city builders combined with rudimentary military occupation/defense system.
<span class="bold">EARTH 2160: </span>
Best game in the EARTH series. Similar to C&C but with several different ressources and distinctive factions (be it the totally different bases or units).
<span class="bold">AI WAR COLLECTION: </span>
Best ever RTS/tower defense/4x/Exploration (and who knows what else) game made by Arcen. Basically you fight the AI's ruling your galaxy/system starting with one last human colony, destroying AI outposts, bases and generally trying to fend off the overwhelming AI response.
<span class="bold">Settlers 2 Gold: </span>
The all time classical Settlement/Empire building simulation. My first pc game and still one of my favorites.
<span class="bold">Heroes of Might and Magic III:</span>
I don't need to make a description of this game do I :)
<span class="bold">Heroes of Annihilated Empires:</span>
Kind of like Spellforce but on a smaller scale with big emphasis on RTS portion of the game. Made by the developers of Cossacks and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Basically set in a fantasy setting with elves, undead, etc.
<span class="bold">Cossacks Anthology:</span>
The ultimate RTS strategy game pack with real time resource supply, research and building system.
<span class="bold">Imperial Glory</span>:
The game that preceded Empire: Total War and Napoleon: Total War by several years. Its basically Total War on the map of Europe starting in 1789 and finishing in the revolutionary times. So it has a turn based campaign gameplay similar to board games and maps of provinces with real time battle maps, research three (three eras), diplomacy, etc. This is one of the ultimate strategy games but its sadly also one of the most overlooked games.

Ha, I knew we were about the same age, but this is extremely close indeed.
Maybe I could help you out with the job problem in the long run, but that's another story. I can give you some details if you like.

Great GA, not in though, maybe later for someone else.

My favourite game has always been Fallout 1 and it still is although it more or less shares this position with Gothic 1.

The writing is first class; the setting is dull, dark and uncomfortable in a brave and awesome way.
There are so many ways to play it thanks to the awesome character system (which I completely prefer to the D&D system). The mix of real time and turn based is done right by automatically switching to turn based when an enemy has noticed you. You don't have to actually "fight" the final boss but got other ways to finish it, including one that gets him on your side. The pixel art is great and does make the game look very good and gives you a nice overview with HD patch applied on a big screen. Ahh, I just love this game and to me it's still superior to the second one although needless to say this one is awesome too after some patching.

And happy birthday of course.

Happy birthday to you and I hope that your job situation will get better in the future :-)
A cool, very strategy-focused pick, reminds me of which games I should (continue to) play! Best wishes to you!
I'm not interested in a game, just wishing you a very happy birthday. Now you are in your 30's it's time to get grumpy!
Sorry about your unemployment, it drains all life from you. Keep going...
Happy Birthday!

I'm in for AI War Collection. I always wanted to try out this one, but i never got my hands on it.

Naming the game that i love the most it's hard, but i'll go with Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. That game really clicked with me. Even if it's short, novel-like, easy and linear, the story and the way the game it's designed it's just spectacular. Being able to design a scenario where not one word it's spoken in an understandable language, but that provide so deep feelings it's something special.
Not in.
I'm here just to say happy birthday.
Happy birthday Matruchus!
I wish the new year to be the best for you!
