Good day! As the topic subject implies, I have a few questions about how achievement support works for consumers that choose to do business with GOG. Developers have made scripts available for tracking achievements for a quite a number of titles. I'm still seeing *many* of these titles missing achievements for consumers here, however. I'm curious what the real hang up is here and how consumers here might get more support.

https://docs.gog.com/achievements/

The link above leads to a document page that looks to give developers pretty clear instructions in how to add achievements here. Again, what's the real hang up here? Achievements are seemingly irrelevant or minor things to most consumers, no doubt, but what's the real reason for GOG consumers missing out here? I'm not referring to any titles that the developers have never made scripts for tracking achievements. I'm only referring to titles where the developers have already made scripts available to track these. They're just not available for consumers that choose to do business here.

What is our recourse for seeing consumer support here? Do we reach out to GOG to start asking developers to follow the instructions from the link above? Do we contact the developers? I haven't seen any comments from GOG as to why its consumers are left in the lurch, but I have seen a handful of comments from developers who have claimed that they're wanting to see their achievements being made available here. Are the instructions from the document above extremely difficult to follow? Are there, possibly, contractual issues with other platforms that might prevent developers from making their achievements available to GOG consumers? I'd certainly appreciate any feedback or insights that anyone might share here.
We stop caring about digital "ruler measurement" contests and live with games not needing to pat us on the back for a variety of frivolous events?

...Or you know, GOG could partner with RetroAchivements, since that has a platform independent API now.

Jidokwon: Do we contact the developers?
Yes, for all the good that'll do.

• No one has an obligation to release games here with the same features as on other platforms. See Games that treat GOG customers as second-class citizens and List of broken and missing GOG achievements.
• GOG has a microscopic market share.
• A large portion of the user base doesn't use GOG Galaxy at all.
• Even with the Steam wrapper, implementing achievements on GOG is extra work, which many developers don't consider a worthwhile effort.
