Riotact: I think this is the 4th.
Yep, snoopy1492 is indeed number four. It seems all the people getting hacked are new GOG users.

Smannesman: What's the point of stealing these accounts?
Pretty much every GOG game is available as a torrent.
I suppose they use those accounts to buy redeemable keys with stolen credit card and sell those keys afterwards...
That's my guess... But they could also just create accounts to do that...

I'm new at using it, but I've had the account since nov 2013 when i redeemed my WItcher 1 and 2 keys bought on steam.

And often in combination with using Galaxy. Looks like there might be a big security gap.

snoopy1492: Do you mean there's been a big amount of password stolen recently?
You are the sixth person to post about getting their account hacked. The other five are:

- or [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/account_hacked/post48]Chross85.
- or [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/account_hacked/post34]Jezzerr.
- Furusu.
- casulahunter.
- Bonander.

All within the past five days or so.

snoopy1492: Hi everyone!

So I just went to GOG Galaxy to launch W3, and for whatever reason I went to the setting section and saw that my new and fabulous email address is miha.loling...AT...yandex.ru
That is not my email.

So I suppose I was hacked :'(

I can still post here because GOG still recognize me (YAY Cookies!), but I can't log in to change the email/password, because the password was obviously changed.

I sent a support request through GOG website (BPRCPSGJ), I guess I'll just have to wait, being a sunday and all.

Is there something else I should be doing?

Than you all,

Snoop'
Hey welcome to the club, we gotta wait for the weekend to end for them to notice our problems it seems.
Fun fact : the guy who hacked me at least uses gmail, lol.

Also for people saying the hacked people are new gog users, its not true, I've had an account for years.

Could this just be a glitch with Galaxy users rather than a hack? I'm starting to wonder since a friend of mine brought up that possibility.

My hat goes off to you for having a sense of humor and being so cool about this.

I'd probably being having a tantrum right now. :P

Well at least it's GOG, which means I can still play W3 if I want. If it was my steam account, I'd be having that tantrum right now :D

This coming from a guy who couldn't keep a bunch of muppets armed with slingshots out of his heavily secured, heavily guarded, shield generator! :P

Oh man and steam support is made up of slugs and snails, but GOG support seems to be the same right now :v

Lol, indeed! :D
Anyhow, thanks everyone for your feedback and words of encouragement, i'll let you know when GOG support reaches back to me :)
So I was contacted today by Firek who asked me a bunch of information to verify that I'm the owner of the account.
I'm waiting for his answer but everything should be back to normal soon :D
On the other hand, Amazon just dispatched my W3 Collector's guide from Prima so that's good! (Was waiting for it before playing :D)
