Big changes are here.

My Account is the heart of your GOG.com experience. It's the one place that's 100% yours, and the place you always go to download your games and manage the entire library.
Starting today, your My Account is completely new - remade and redesigned from scratch to better support our growing library of games and many of your biggest requests. Aside from every usability fix we could think of, we've also introduced brand new tools to keep your library organised, and new social features to stay in touch with your friends.

The list of new features is long, but you can see the whole thing on our forums. The most important highlights include:

--Support for friends lists and chat.
--Shared wishlists.
--Advanced filtering and custom tags for your library.
--A new, detailed order history.
--Accessible game changelogs.

We're sure that these new changes will greatly improve your overall user experience on GOG.com, and we can't wait to hear what you think on the wishlist and right here in the comments!

RichterSnipes: One of my top 3 visited websites is YouTube. I'm sure this is the same for millions upon millions of others. They offer a service we're happy to use and are happy to be there. Ever since the acquisition by Google, though, things have not always been smooth sailing there. Google likes to change things around at YouTube for no good reason.
One YouTube feature that is straight from hell is the next video autoplay, which is on by default.
YouTube, WTF?!?

I think most users are still intelligent enough to choose what they want to see next, and when is the right time to do that. Although these days, when everything has to work on iPhone screen with as much bad usability features as possible, maybe that's too much to ask.

HypersomniacLive: I already mentioned a bug giving friends privileges to pending friends when one’s Wishlist is set to “friends only”.

HypersomniacLive: ...and the unacceptable behaviour of the “Start Conversation’ option that acts as “Add to Contacts” on both sides...
I knew the new chat and friends stuff had it's issues, but damn, that's pretty bad.

I hate that autoplay!
I've always used the "Youtube Center" addon to fix it, but now it needs a complete update after the last YT changes.

As I said, recent test show that the former has been fixed, the latter unfortunately not (yet).

Still makes me wonder how this went through QA.
It all seems more like early alpha than a proper beta.

The new Account system, which is not exclusively tied to the GOG Galaxy client, was not rolled out as a beta though.

It sucks extra for those of us who use Chrome for Windows. Nowadays, that's the majority of all PC web users. We can't install YouTube Center anymore because Google disabled the option to install and use unverified extensions. Plus going out of your way to try to make it work with Greasemonkey just results in a system RAM leakage sooner or later.

I think the problem is that the letter Q in not part of the Polish alphabet.

I'm assuming you're talking about this? I've actually never heard of it. Is it kind of like what Pale Moon is to Firefox?

It doesn't look like it's been updated in awhile.

Ugh.. that's why I'll never bother about Chrome.
Btw, I fear that, also for the Win10 store..

Okay, so I actually bothered to check out SRWare properly. I was wrong when I said it hadn't been updated in awhile, that's just their news feed.

Looks like I was right with my prediction. It does let you tinker with it more than Chrome, and I probably would be able to get YTC working with it. However, it doesn't play DRM-protected content. That means I can't watch things from Netflix on it. It seems great for what it is, but unfortunately that issue's a dealbreaker for me.

Are you using the developer version? The 'stable' version (2.1.7 I believe) is really badly out of date while the developer version still works reasonably well.

whatisserton: I have but one request:

1) View all

I dislike having to scroll multiple pages and preferred having my library on one page. This could be simplied by having a view all.
You can vote for it here:

Add an option to display all owned games on a single page

Other wishes for the new user account you also may be interested in are listed here.

Thanks, I've noticed that version, but possible memory leaks are a problem for my ancient pc, so I'm waiting for a stable release.
