Big changes are here.

My Account is the heart of your GOG.com experience. It's the one place that's 100% yours, and the place you always go to download your games and manage the entire library.
Starting today, your My Account is completely new - remade and redesigned from scratch to better support our growing library of games and many of your biggest requests. Aside from every usability fix we could think of, we've also introduced brand new tools to keep your library organised, and new social features to stay in touch with your friends.

The list of new features is long, but you can see the whole thing on our forums. The most important highlights include:

--Support for friends lists and chat.
--Shared wishlists.
--Advanced filtering and custom tags for your library.
--A new, detailed order history.
--Accessible game changelogs.

We're sure that these new changes will greatly improve your overall user experience on GOG.com, and we can't wait to hear what you think on the wishlist and right here in the comments!
I kinda like the new orders/gifts page, good to have that.
Don't like any of the rest. Too much clicking, no manual sorting (which I personally don't care about but I think is important for many users), that bright blue "try galaxy" button, missing PMs and much more. I'm quite happy to have never managed my games in this library anyway, I'd be so mad now.

PS: Why did you make the same horrible design decisions for the library like you did for the website? Yikes.

GOG, PLEASE ADD:
- The option to manually arrange games in the library.
- The option to view our entire collection on one page.
- The option to display the original cover arts for the games.

Thanks! =)

Djaron: it is a stone carved rule that we are supposed to "BE social" no matter what, even if you don't want :(

i hate this policy about injecting social features everywhere and forcing them upon people unless they actively try to save themselves from it
I agree. There is no steam and no facebook with this nonsense it is GOG so please guys be creative and come up with something different and new. Here people came at first place not to be stalkered by system but for playing good old games and also not old but still good games.

I'd rather have my manual ordering back, and have it as one page again. The manual ordering for me is big because I used it to keep track of series and keep them together regardless of how they were labelled, otherwise I get what I have, a complete mess with games and series all over the place. It's a mess and I REALLY don't like it.

very much support these sentiments.

mvscot: What's with this meaningless stuff about friend requests with no associated message?

I'd like to know why someone wanted me as their friend, and I'd also like the chance when I decline to say it's not them, it's me (I don't want any friends!).

Currently it all just seems so rude.

JudasIscariot: Click Account -> Friends and then do what you will :)
I see nothing useful there (it just SHOUTS at me "YOU HAVEN'T ADDED ANYBODY YET"), and I don't see how that answers my question regarding lack of any context associated with a friend request or the acceptance or declining thereof.
The previous dark shelf looked so much better :(

Of all the changes made (most of them good), manual ordering must come back. I may be a bit OCD, but I can't stand seeing The Witcher 1 apears after The Witcher 2 on my shelf. Either that, or please change the names of all the first games within a series to include the number "1".

This is why I left Steam ;(

Can we get a shelf view. I really loved the box art/store shelf look of the old account page.

You should not change sth good to sth mediocre.

OK, you've done some changes (again). Where's the button to revert the library to the old look??????
Hmmm, I got a friend request from someone called Doodys. Never heard of that one. Must have clicked accidentally on me.

In my experience GOG has no revert options at all. I believe that once they implement new code, they put the old code through the shredder so they can't go back. Maybe the new web guys are afraid that management will see the mess they published, and request to go back to what was good.

Yes please!

I really want the view all option.

My question was rather rethorical. They seem to don't give a wooden penny lately about what the people want/need.

Don't be so sure. I think people are anticipating that Friends will be the new Rep and are trying to stock up early...

there isn't one nor is there planned to be one. It doesn't make sense for them to run and maintain two different sets of user accounts, it's probably to much work and to much money to please what at this time seems like a vocal minority.
