Hikage_XjS: This. Also don't forget the nanny state zombies. ;)

While none of these games appeal to me, i will defend their right to be here as much as any "murder simulator" or whatever.

People seriously need to get off the notion that the games they want do not come here because these do.
While others need to get a better grasp on what fictional character means.
+1 to both

People should have the freedom to do whatever they feel like, as long as it does not limit the freedom of others. This includes the expression of opinions from "prudes" and "puritans", as mentioned by brjbuffchix.

No one asked for my opinion but here it is. Those games are not for me, I'd rather play some truly NSFW game instead, e.g. "Being a DIK".
Dreamcutter's gameplay and visuals seem surprisingly solid actually. If not the dreaded "nsfw" elements, no one would mind having it here I bet. I might get it with bigger discount at some point.

Nayla's Castle, on the other hand, looks ugly and clunky as hell. Maybe that's why they don't show actual screenshots (although could also be because protagonist is completely naked all the time). There are few gameplays on YT.

Watched the preview video for "Yu Crossing Animals" on Steam and its funny as hell (I'm not 100% sure if it was meant to be funny, but it was. for me anyways).

My wife loves Animal Crossing. I'm sure I could do a joke there of the "Trying it and I see the attraction" variety.

Some of us aren't prudes & puritans, we just have high standards from years of browsing deviantart, danbooru, and e621.

Indeed, if there aren't at least 10 beings, most of them non-humanoid, going boldly where no life has been capable of going before, I just don't get excited anymore. It is just too... pedestrian otherwise.

Magmarock: Also look at the proportions of the character on the banner of Yu Crossing Animals

You can say she's 18 but those are the proportions of the toddler. Something is deeply wrong with gog at the moment.
these "games" are disgusting

I mean, at least in terms of artistic quality, I'd expect a minimal quality of rolls dice, syncbanned (FA post #51959050) in terms of artists to name out of nowhere, unprompted. Artists like Chunie would probably be too high a bar in terms of both cost and quality. These are commercial products and most of the quality of these products is expected within their art and animations, isn't it?

Course there is a such thing as overproduction such as hiring sakimichan to do the art; they're someone who has achieved Barbie Perfection in their works, having worked for a decade or so to carefully buff and polish anything resembling imperfection away, leaving nothing but dross blandness; rather like the original Type-Moon artists who could only draw one face.

In short, where are all the cute furry femboy games, GOG?

Everytime I see gog posting nsfw content, it seems the thread gives me a chuckle. These titles earn the site money, so all the people complaining can continue buying the safe for work content.

Food for thought.

I don't see how any of the carte blanche RPGMaker titles published from the basement barrel that is Kagura Games is incentivizing quality of sale at GOG.
Two (or at least) of the new ones actually look like ok platormers.

I see, then I misconstrued your meaning. I can't say I'm a connaisseur in well made erotica art, I see what you are getting at.

A lot of the art in erotic games here probably seems rushed and cheap.

Magmarock: For the free NSFW games, how are you going to age verify people for that sort of thing
avatar
MarkoH01: Since when does GOG even have age verification? Or did you actually mean the "Yes, I am 18" verification that can hardly be called so?
I would prefer it if games like this weren't sold in the first place to be honest. A proper age verification or porn filter should be the bear minimum, but gog is starting to become known more for porn that games at this point.

Yes they are.
avatar
00063: Then why can't just anybody check the steam page, if it's so innocent?
avatar
clarry: Why don't you ask Steam?

We talk about GOG pages here.
Been a GOG customer for over 10 years. I'm not liking what it's turning into.

No idea which banner you are referring to ... but you are aware that these are supposeed to be animals, right? So 18 or not (which is so irrelevant since we are talking about some drawn characters and not actual sex at all) ... who cares? Do we mean human years or animal years? I honestly find the outrage about those NSFW games extremely amusing. It only shows how easy it is today to offend people ... even with some games and pixels. Before these discussions I though that we all here are grown ups and that we all here are aware of the difference between reality and fiction but apparently I was wrong. When it comes to the question "into what GOG is turning to" ... I would recommend to simply count the number of regular games and the number of games with explicit content. Yes, some might argue that those games GOG accepted are not always of the expected quality ... even for AO games ... but the number of those is still so minor that the outrage and the fear of GOG becoming known more for the porn than for the regular games is just ridiculous. But of course that is just my opinion and according to those nay sayers I am a pervert and a sick person anyway, so why should my opinion be relevant - but still I wanted to point it out.

And now the usual "I hate all this sick stuff and we will all die and our children are not safe anymore on GOG" discussion can continue ... without me :)

Which - just for completion - is much more dating sim than sex game ... it even has some light RPG elements (in the form of: your decisions form your character which again influences future possible decisions) in it and the most gameplay I've ever seen in a VN (mini games, exploration, HOG like elements) and an amazing soundtrack. But sure it is your given right to not like it ... just thought that you might have judged the game by its title without knowing what it actually is about.

I read a review on an 18+ site and in fact they confirmed that the explicit elements are not many. Well done but only few. Apparently the devs have focused much more on regular platformer/combat gameplay.

octalot: Dreamcutter's non-pixel art looks reasonable, but the pixel art looks like a different and smaller lady.
Thought the same ... and even in the non pixel art screenshots she looks a bit different.
