orgdelver: Waiting for Fantasy General to be included in the sale items - is it not going to happen because it's a fairly new addition to GOG? I hope not!
With a few of the newer games showing up and the ton of bundles, I think I wouldn't be too surprised to see a bundle including this.
avatar
HeDanny: That is not mentioned anywhere on the store page. Or am I blind? I'm probably blind. heh.

I just noticed there is an "avernum 2" while trying to decipher what this was all about. Soo.. I take it there is a third one coming?

Either way, I'll pass. I haven't played (and if I'm honest, am in no rush) the real Avernum games yet. So no point buying an incomplete second set at this point.
It's not mentioned on the gamecard. Same goes for the second one as well. There might be a third one coming but Spiderweb is one-man studio after all.
So I've been waiting/hoping for the UFO: After trilogy to go on sale and thus far it hasn't.

Starting to think they're either going to be in one of the daily bundles (which would be kinda weird as I'm not sure the series is really note-worthy enough for that), or they just aren't going to on sale at all.

Do these games normally skip out on sales completely?

I have a feeling that they've not been on a decent sale for at least the last two years. I'm only saying that because I buy almost everything, and they're still not on my shelves.

Thanks again to you @CarrionCrow, for all the hard work. More +1's coming your way..

Splatsch: First, thanks again to all who are participating to this tracker thread :)

I just noticed that Invisible Inc is discounted at 20%, I don't know if it's sale-related but I just wanted to highlight it in this thread, given the fact it's keeping a track of the discounted games (and it could interest some people who haven't noticed it, it's relatively discreet).
Thanks for the headsup, it does look interesting, but way too expensive. I'll wait for the 80% sale. :-)
+1 anyway.

Superpunky900: Hey guys!
First of all, thanks a lot to CarrionCrow and all the people collaborating with the tracking. You guys do a great job every sale and its always very useful :)
I know my question has no 100% acurate answer, but anyway I wanna know what you think. Im waiting for Blackwell Epiphany and Sacrifice, do you think GoG will put them on a good sale? So far they havent been on sale and that seems strange to me...
Looks like both of your wishes have been granted today! But be careful if you plan on buying the entire Retroventure bundle as there appears to be a glitch with Gemini Rue - it doesn't have any discount, even when purchased with the rest of the bundle.

I have already bought the weird & wonderful bundle, which I recommend to everyone who likes funny original games, cause I´ve played Giants: Citizen Kabuto and its truly a hidden gem.
I noticed that about Gemini rue, 20 € seemed too expensive for 6 games that should cost 2-3 € approx. with the proper discount... I still doubt between geting the full bundle (if GoG fixes the price problem) or just Blackwell Ephiphany, since I have tons of adventure games waiting to be played...
Anyway thanks for telling about the glitch, I wasnt sure if it was a mistake when I saw that

-shakes head- It's really not great for prices to change from one phase of the sale to the next.
Even a small percentage can make people feel like they got burned and should have waited.

When your sale strategy is based around getting the jump on the competition in the hopes that customers will spend more money on your items, making them feel like they should wait is counterproductive.

Or, if you're going to have a higher discount earlier with the intent of getting people to buy early, you should let them know so there's more interest.

I don't have any interest in the Jack Keane games but if this had been something I *did* want and had to wait until payday for (i.e. today) I'd be a tad pissed off right now! Mind you, I did OK in the run up to payday as I managed to unlock Xenonauts by the big bundle day! (I was only 2p away anwyay and buying the Walking Dead bundle for my husband pushed me over the edge).

Speaking of games I have no interest in, my daughter just dared me to buy your all time favourite game, Hatoful Boyfriend! :-p She better damn well play it, because I won't be! :-/

Stability in a sale is a good thing. It keeps customers from feeling like their timing was bad somehow.
At the same time the instability isn't really surprising since Game of Thrones went from 40 to 50 percent off for no particular reason.

-groans- Well...good luck to her on that one.

I told her it was downloaded ready to install and she announced "I was only kidding!" Oh hell no, child. You asked for it, you got it and you're bloody well going to play it! :-D

EDIT
Thinking about the Game Of Thrones discount, I wonder if it changed when it went from an initial release discount to a full sale discount. Unfortunately, the timing of the release would have meant the initial discount period overlapping with the beginning of the sale.

Serious mixed emotions reading that. I'm laughing, but I also feel really badly for her. =)
