HenitoKisou: I recommend Deadly Premonition to anyone who like Twin Peak-esque atmosphere.
And also likes driving a poorly controllable car for what seemed to me like hours on end, crashing into everything in sight.

I *heard* this was at least slightly fixed in the PC re-release (IE: the one here on GoG). After loving the hour or so I put into the game on console way back when, I spent about 30 seconds behind the wheel before I said "Oh hell no" and promptly turned it off, never to fire it up again (lucky it was a "rental" returned to the game store ;) ). Which was a bit of a bummer because it seemed like it might be interesting enough.

I played the GOG version (well, tried to) and if that is an improvement on the console, I shudder.
If it had a teleport feature (and no QTE), it would have been a really great game.
I heard they will have a 10 minute special,anything for a dollar.

So it sounds like the operative word *slightly* improved is the important one. And yes, they were something special. Like driving a tank perched on ice skate blades hovering over an air hockey table. Covered in lube.
Well i got Wasteland 2, now i need to hide before my wife sees how much money i've spent over this and the Interplay sale last week. She is so going to beat me....

If you thought that was fun, you would have loved when you got to certain enemies.
Without a certain weapon, they take minutes to kill each time. But with the particular weapon, they die in about 5 seconds.
On the bright side, I've heard that things like what I just mentioned were fixed with the director's cut.

So strange, I played Deadly Premonition multiple times on xbox 360. That was the original, most broken version. I loved it to death. One of my favorite games of all time. ALL TIME. While I do remember the cars being a bit ordinary, they absolutely were not game breaking. You also get to unlock the other cars from the scrapyard. Which was fun and the stories that went along with them were amazing.

Pretty sure there was a quick travel. Something about a Walkie Talkie you get from the sheriff really early in the game. Like, the second quest, or something.

The combat was always bloody ridiculous tho. Even when you were killing things with ease (which is all the time, if you do it right), it still felt like it was entirely un-necessary and should have been completely removed. This was intentional! It was part of Sweary's design. They needed the money. They would only get it if there was combat in the game. So he put it in there, but made it intentionally feel out of place, un-necessary, and easy as piss, because he never wanted it in there in the first place. It was meant to feel "wrong' because it was. Such is the way with Sweary. The guy dances to his own tune for sure.

CarrionCrow: Already did that. That was just as bad. Might've been a full spirit breaker if I hadn't pushed through and gone on to download better things immediately after.

VanishedOne: Well, the sequel is confirmed for PC...
oh the humanity!!

“While we would have loved to create an all-new franchise with our friends at Mediatonic, investing $350,000 in bird motion capture gear limits our options,” said Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker.

Just realized that's the second -95% there, and ending up for even less than Alcatraz did. Those must really not sell at all.

Third even, one of the Harvey & Edna's yesterday, too. Daedalic's throwing around those 95%'s like they're going out of style...
