Not "may", it *is* going to disappear and only be bundled with the EE just like BG and IWD. I believe you can expect that on the 11th when PS:T:EE comes out. Let Hasbro know you don't like this bundling and will vote with your wallet as ValamirCleaver said in the post I linked to above.

Beamdog is doing the bundling. Not Hasbro. The official statement about the bundling came from Beamdog too.

I didn't say Hasbro was doing the bundling, but if you want any chance at all of unbundling, you'll talk to Hasbro since they *own* the rights. Even the game pages for the classics shows Hasbro as the publisher.

As I asked in the other thread, why do you argue so hard against DOING something to get these unbundled, however little you might believe it'll help? It's the only option you've got. Complaining about or asking Beamdog isn't going to help. What are you trying to accomplish, because it certainly doesn't seem to be trying to get these unbundled?

I'll tell you an old story I heard long ago. A woman was walking through an alley at night and was attacked and stabbed. She screamed for help and people in the buildings around opened their windows to see what was going on. The woman was stabbed again while these people watched from above. She kept screaming and these people just kept watching. They did nothing - they were all too afraid to do anything. Not a single one thought to yell or throw things to scare away the attacker or to call the police or to gather together with whatever they could find and chase the attacker away. If just one had done something, the others probably would've followed their lead. The problem is, they were all waiting for someone ELSE to make the first move, so no one did anything. The woman was stabbed several more times before she died. They did NOTHING and NOTHING changed. Actually, things probably got worse in their area of town and they probably complained about it.

I don't know why you seem so afraid to contact Hasbro. Can it hurt so much? No, it isn't the same as contacting Beamdog - there's zero chance there. If enough people tell Hasbro they're voting with their wallets on EVERYTHING Hasbro related, as ValamirCleaver said in the post I linked to above, who knows. Do you really expect anyone to believe that's no better than contacting Beamdog? Again, do it or don't but quit arguing or complaining here if you're NOT. GOING. TO. DO. ANYTHING. If you insist on doing nothing and continuing to argue and complain, do it somewhere else.

Your recent argumentative and sometimes rude posts in other threads didn't help. That would include the last line of the post I'm quoting. I've sent an email to Hasbro, asking about the possibilitiy of getting BG, IWD and PS:T unbundled. Not much hope left, but I can say that at least I'm trying my best to do something.

I am sorry you believe that we are the cause of this, but I can assure you we have no say in what other retailers do with our titles (discounts/bundles, etc).

That being said, GOG brought the idea to our attention and over a year ago Cameron decided that it was a positive choice, I am sorry you are negative towards this, but I want you to know you are supporting the people who make those decisions, and blaming the ones who don't.

We also have no say in what happens to the original versions of the games, we aren't the owners of those and only licensed them to create our Enhanced Editions.

That does appear to be a possible interpretation of the response you quoted as receiving from that Beamdog customer support representative. GOG has obviously had direct dealings with WotC/Hasbro regarding games in the past. You ever take note that GOG is listed as the publisher of these D&D games; Al-Qadim, Dark Sun Series, Krynn Series, Ravenloft Series, Stronghold: Kingdom Simulator, Forgotten Realms - The Archives - Collections 1 to 3? So I guess that much of the ire of the postings in the GOG forums of certain individuals accusing & castigating Beamdog as being the direct cause of the original versions of the Infinity Engines games no longer being available for purchase separately from the Enhanced Editions has been possibly misplaced?...
