Highmen, Day 1

We are stranded in a strange cave. Lost I fear and though my heart weighs heavy my spirit remains strong. Even in this strangest of places there is light. I can feel it. And should the shadows grow ever deeper I will bring my own light into these caves.

Elves, day 1
we are the elves. we have come from fertile lands brought down by war. we are a simple folk with families and children to feed. we have sailed far only to find a land full of poverty and war once more. but we hope we can see this as a new beginning and a new place to rest without the fear of our children having nightmares after nightmares. we capture income buildings to help us feed those who are poor and we explore this dark cave in hope to find sanctuary

Day 1, Uthman of the Azracs

The legends tell of great power hidden at the summit of the mountain, but if that is true, why have none managed to claim it before now? The slopes are too sheer to climb under the open sky, but surely others have tried their luck with these passages, which the dwarves claim lead to a plateau above.

Supposedly, I am here with my entourage to claim the ancient relics above for the glory of my father's kindgom. But I think the real reason he sent me is that he has too many sons, and does not want his realm to be torn apart between us when he dies. While I and my loyal followers trudge through the muck of this ruined, abandoned underworld, his favourite son is safe in the palace with the tutors.
Day 1, Dark Elves

My parents gave me some weird, unpronounceable name. I'm going to take out my angst on the people around me.

There are some odd and interesting bits around here, and having a Syron sitting right outside my city is a little unnerving. I wish I knew whether it is willing to leave me alone.

Day 1, Undead

After a long dreamless sleep, I felt the life of undeath raise me from my slumber. A distant cause now calls to me. There is something about this place that feels like a distant memory, locked away in the heart of this labyrinth. I must rebuild. I must seek out that which calls to me.

Highmen, Day 2

These caves are worse than I feared. Madmen, Dark Elves and even the unliving haunt this place, their stench turning into a miasma of courrption. Before we move on we need to clean the air and sanction the earth. I will begin with the Dark Elves right in front of me. Those who will not forsake their corrupt ways will be cleansed, as Bishop Caspar has decreed, by the light from within.

As far as I know, all independents are set to Guard, and indy AI is set to off. If people get attacked by Syrons I have messed up (unless it's from a razed node or teleporter of course)

I just couldn't remember whether "Guard' allowed them to move or not. It doesn't in SM, but I seem to recall seeing a few 'Guard' indy stacks come attack nearby guys in AoW1.

I noted they were sitting on a razed teleporter and they didn't have any way of getting past walls though, and that I had enough movement to be able to get from the city to the tower and vice versa.
elves day 2

the families we shelter have risen up and offered their military support so we may expand and cleanse these lands faster. we had a busy day as we found a friendly village of highmen who we accepted into our new home. we than saw a goblin village that we had been smelling for weeks. we engaged them and had 0 losses and have begun migrating it for a new home as our numbers grow. we captured a mine. found some gold and even begun rebuilding a town. we elves cant wait to meet other races and show them love instead of war

I think AoW1 displays Guard Area as Guard. However, Guards are still only Guards.

Uthman of the Azracs, Day 2

The reinforcements the Palace promised me have, unsurprisingly, not arrived. Yet I am bound by the King's commands to explore this region and fly his flag over the summit. Well, they may have divested me of my court influence and left me only my personal troops, but they cannot take the knowledge I learned as a boy in the palace libraries. I shall summon great spiders to aid me, and that is only the beginning. Free from the priesthood's overbearing suspicion, I can experiment freely here with the dark arts.

The caverns are not so desolate as I thought at first. It would seem many renegades have fled here over the years. A little hamlet of Highmen has been conquered. Those that were not slain resisting shall pay tribute, they shall keep their piety to themselves, and they shall take on our national dress and serve me.

Unpronounceable of the Dark Elves, Day 2

I took a calculated risk, but man am I bad at math. Also strategy, since not even a Lady of Pain will try to seduce a troll.

On the bright side, income now exceeds upkeep.

Ashes and dust. These skeletal skirmishers fall easily, and just as easily rise up again, I need only to catch an ember in a ready holding and soon all will join the bliss of ashes. I need to share this gift with this realm.
