Ziggurat

Pros: + good Rogue-like concept Cons: -- poor execution/bugs (enemies spawning in locations where they are impossible to kill such as walls, floors, making progression impossible) -- comic/cartoonish art style -- enemy design (walking carrots? really?!) - repetitiveness - room clearance becomes boring fast - poor selection of weapons - "level" design (or lack thereof) Bottom line: A good concept with really poor execution, terrible design choices when it comes to art style and enemy design, add the repetitive nature of the game and you get a terrible, poor man's Heretic. And with the superior HERETIC now being available on GOG why would anyone even bother with this garbage?

Feels very samey very quickly and the randomness doesn't really do anything to remedy that, as having a slightly different layout to the room while you circle strafe and click on carrots does not meaningfully change anything. Could have still been 3/5 material, but in the two or three hours that I played, I got softlocked TWICE by the level up screen not allowing me to choose a perk. Not acceptable. And why are we so low to the ground? Is the player character intended to be a small rodent or something?

Solid idea- lacking execution. Neat little rogue like fps with a wizard theme. But it feels too low budget for my taste. -no hit feedback -very basic in terms of graphics -buggy/rough around the edges (doors are invisible from time to time etc.) Got if for free from gog. Played 20 min- guess wont play anymore.

Expected Heretic got Harry Potter, 🤦🏻‍♂️. Map dividet to small chambers what is anoing. Weak gameplay. HUD uredable. No Go for me, give me my money. one pro - got native linux version - buy to support 🐧 LINUX
