Ziggurat

Old boring shoot-that-mushrooms-that-cannot-use-"above/below"-concept. Kept it library for a while because of "Skill-based dungeon crawling", turns out it's NOT that kind of game. For mindless shoot-while-strafing is OK.

It's a solid shooter with old school movement. Very smooth. But "Easy" was not easy at all. I completed the end-game boss only on my third try. (you have to start the whole game over) But it was very fun. I will try the second part now.

This is the 1st game i bought on GOG years ago thinking its like a Hexen,only better.Unfortunatelly,its bland and boring, with no atmosphere.I uninstalled it after a couple of hours of playing.I have reinstalled it recently thinking that I was maybe wrong,but no-i still dont like it and I uninstalled even faster.Reading through other reviews, I cannot find one thing that I agree with, except that is a Hexen clone, only a worse kind.IDK, maybe i didnt play it long enough to realize its good sides but I couldnt make myself, playing it litteraly frustrated me.

A solid shooter that follows the pattern of what I like to call "modern old school" which seems to come from developers who think classic games are just a chain of interconnected monster spawning arenas. A lot of fun to begin with but do expect it to get rather repetitive rather quickly. Still, fun for a quick blast.

great fun game with beautiful style amazing stages
