The most amazing game I have ever played
Fan of the X series games since 2006. X2 The Threat was my first. Egosoft have a long history of (admittedly slowly) refining their titles to a very polished final product. They are a bit like Hellogames, but an older and more technical team dedicated to the X series which is a much more complex simulation. I am testing X4 (at time of writing this review) currently at version 7.5 beta 7, it has expanded massively since it was first released. Large and XL ships are now being refined in how they battle against other capital ships and stations. The new flight model is excellent, and it is clear the end product polishing has commenced. As for bugs, as usual Egosoft have continued their admirable determined progression to squish every one of them. Its a good time to jump onboard, its a very enjoyable experience no other space game can come close to. They published a roadmap recently which sees them continuing development for a couple more years, which surprised me at first as before they said that I thought they would be winding it up in late 2025 and moving on to X5 .. Aswell as polishing/balancing there are more DLCs coming. I can see me playing this when I need to use a walking stick, game longevity in X4 is huge, just hope I don't lose my ability to use a mouse and keyboard along the way :)
