What Remains of Edith Finch is a collection of strange tales about a family in Washington state.
As Edith, you’ll explore the colossal Finch house, searching for stories as she explores her family history and tries to figure out why she's the last one in her family left alive. Each story you find lets you experience the life of a new family member on the day of their death, with stories ranging from the distant past to the present day.
The gameplay and tone of the stories are as varied as the Finches themselves. The only constants are that each is played from a first-person perspective and that each story ends with that family member's death.
Ultimately, it's a game about what it feels like to be humbled and astonished by the vast and unknowable world around us.
Created by Giant Sparrow, the team behind the first-person painting game The Unfinished Swan.

What Remains of Edith Finch is often compared to "walking simulators" and visual novels but I think that's doing the game a disservice.
The game has an interesting story but it is how player interaction and exploration are used that raise it above the average game in terms of storytelling.
Mind you it's not a happy story but it's not a straight forward sad story either that goes for cheap drama
Installed, finished in around 2 hours, no replay value, deinstalled, forgotten.
Some moments from the story are memorable (the cannery is really great!), others are laughable (design of the house). Voice Acting is greating and pulls you in.
As for me, I'm not wasting more words or attention to that little thing. Experience it for yourself. Otherwise, move on
To be clear, this review is not aimed at the game content itself, because I wasn't able to play more than about 10 minutes before feeling sick.
Reason? It's a very, very sloppy PC port, with a number of big issues as a result.
1) No way to change FOV, and by default it is set at an incredibly low value. If you use a tiny monitor, or sit on the sofa to play, no problem. If you sit in-front of a large monitor, you'll get a very "zoomed in" view that made me feel physically sick.
2) 16:9 only. If you use a 21:9 screen, or (like me) a 16:10 screen, you're forced to endure black bars as only 16:9 resolutions are supported.
3) No save system, so reliance on flaky checkpoints.
In short, I don't really know how good the game could have been as for me, the broken FOV left me feeling sick, whilst the black bars and broken save system also spoilt the game. A real pity.
Note: I played the Steam version of this, a GOG purchase is unfortunately out of the question until the PC faults are fixed.
What remains of Edith Finch should name as What happened in Finch's Family. I have to say so impressive in experience which dramatic and richful. Expecially in Barbara's line, it likes comic reading in real.
