Horrible 3rd person experience for PC.
This ia a horrible experience for PC with mouse and keyboard, awkward camera that moves wherever it wants not where you go, cumbersome fights with locked animations that kill you most of the time.. bad streaming textures and built-in motion blur.. this game is a totally mess. One star !

Suprisingly Good
Very interesting game, you will have a lot of fun with it's unique mechanic of getting to know various denizens of London, each with their own stories and mysteries to solve. In turn increasing your reward if you choose to "embrace" them and drink their blood! Story is captivating and keeps you interested untill the end, great presentation with some superb voice acting. I've seen a lot of complaints about the combat in this game, while not perfect by all means, I found it enjoyable, it's more slower pace and methodical than what you might expect. If you enjoy a good story and setting, a well written dialoge and enjoyable mechanics, you are going to enjoy this game. I think this somewhat hidden and underrated gem definitely deserves for you to give it a chance.

Very Enjoyable, With Exceptions
I own this on Steam, and have beaten the main story once. I enjoyed it very much; the abilities are fun to play with, and the "grooming" of targets is fun if unsettling (which I think makes it better). If you want a game to scratch that Vampire itch, then go for it. You'll have a good time. However, the game has its problems. The story, quite frankly, is lackluster. The main character is fairly one dimensional, although he has his moments. The combat, while fun at first, gets repetitive once you reach a certain point. It's difficult to recommend this to a casual gamer with no interest in Vampire games. I give it four stars because despite its problems, it's a genuinly fun game with some really interesting machanics. It's a welcome edition for any of those not able to wait for the new Masquerade game.

Good, but has problems - 3.8/5 Stars
I'll keep this simple. This is a sizable AA game that, while rough around the edges, takes place in an immersive and unique environment and has a lot of potential to be improved upon. Worth a buy for at least $20-30. Pros: - Immersive atmosphere that is bleak, macabre, and hopeless. You can really feel the desolation and fear overtaking the town. - Decent graphics. Some of the building textures almost have an oil painting quality to them that feels suitable to the rest of the game. Character are detailed and believable. - Good voice acting, particularly the protagonist's - Overall good environemental sound design - Ease of character movement - The community/character web is fun idea, if a bit bare bones - The story is well told and kept me interested during my entire playthrough. The beginning realy hooks you in. Cons: - Wooden character animations, mostly when it comes to facial expressions. This is off putting when juxtaposed with the otherwise well done voice acting. - Stiff and simplistic combat. - Lack of controller button bindings. - There is not very much genuine investigation to do. No collecting evidence and figuring out the story for yourself. There are a handful of side quests that allow the player to figure things out themselves. - Unless I missed them, I have not found any quests that can end in a fail state. Feels mostly on rails as far as the story is concerned.
