Description
Aziraal, the god of fire, has fallen and the Dark Lord Gandohar is scheming as to how to disrupt the balance between the elements. Five long years have passed since the events of the first game and you, the hero, begin your adventure trapped in Gandohar’s prison. Now you must forge an alliance with your most hated enemy: the Orcs. You’ll have to put old enmities aside, reclaim your freedom. and save your sister in Two Worlds II.

In Two Worlds II: Pirates of the Flying Fortress, a band of fame-hungry pirates led by the legendary Captain Ed Teal, have become trapped in a cursed archipelago when their ship ran aground, where they will be damned to remain forever until aided by a hero with a strong back(that’s you) and a (somewhat) loyal disposition. Trust, after all, is no short sale in these cursed islands, especially not for a man tasked with finding the Treasure - an immaterial wealth said to manifest the beholder's wildest dreams.

The war has come home! While the bloody battle between Gandohar’s troops and the armies of the Orcs is raging in front of the gates of Oswaroth, the emperor waits in the depths of his palace on the outcome of the struggle for power. However, he does not know that an elite troop of Orcs, led by Rogdor, is making its way through secret paths into the fortress and is now close to the portals of the throne room. Two Worlds II: Castle Defense gives you the opportunity to slip into the role of the Emperor Gandohar and his henchman Sordahon! These villains from the "Two Worlds" universe are now playable for the first time ever in this strategy game, thus opening an entirely new perspective into the vast world of Antaloor. Using foresight and skill, you must defend abandoned ruins, dark forests, and winding catacombs against the onrushing Orcs. Ward off each attack with clever tactics and weaponry, defending Gandohar's throne in the Oswaroth fortress!

  • Two Worlds II Epic Edition includes the original Two Worlds II, the Pirates of the Flying Fortress expansion, and Two Worlds II: Castle Defense.
  • Master crafting to customize armor and weaponry, brew complex potions, and craft unique and powerful spells.
  • Forge alliances and help out those who are need. Be mindful of your decisions as they can bear consequences with a further reach than you may realize.

Note: This game may require additional serial key for multiplayer mode. In case it is not automatically generated in your GOG library (open it via website → select the game → More → Serial Keys), please reach out to our Support team.

I had such high hopes

The game is fun as long as you don't have to use any skills, like, lockpicking, crafting, spellmaking, etc. And, who needs those, am I right? Everything you try to do is met with a "higher level required" message. It's like the worst features of the first Two Worlds game have been brought front and forecenter in this one. For me, it's been more aggrevating than enjoyable and I stopped playing after about 5 hours of gameplay. The crafting would have been better in this game bc you can upgrade items with raw materials instead of needing the exact same item, as in the original game. BUT, you can't acquire the needed materials, such as, wood, iron, steel, anywhere in the world and can't buy it. You have to dissasemble other items for that, but there is never enough when you need it. Also, when you gain 1 level, enemies gain 10, so, you're constantly running away from them. In other words, the gameplay never gets any easier. Upgrading skills seems to make little or no difference. Oh well, God mode it is.

Horrible final fight

I played this game a long time ago and would have given it 5 stars if the final fight wasn't so hard, frustrating and pointless! I can still forgive the long, obligatory and boring tutorial, but I can't forgive the final fight! I have played over 50 RPGs, but Two Worlds 2 is the first game that I gave up at the very end!Explanation - not worth my nerves! If I wanted to play Mortal Combat and I had the reflexes of a panther, I would play Mortal Combat, not an RPG game. Dozens of hours upgrading my hero and then what? Running in circles and shooting a dragon with fixed giant crossbows??? Too bad! This game could have been so much better!

70 hours of gameplay

If you are looking for a really good role playing game you won't find it here. The game wants to be great and falls short. The story is so ambivalent that even after 20+ hours of playing, running through the motions of quest completion, you still don't feel motivated to complete it. The game keeps up with a straight but good story. Your character can live through a lot of customization and the world is rich of 70 hours of action-role playing with more than 300 quests. The game is overall enjoyable, despite some gameplay flaws, minor glitches and a terrible ending

Nice but not smart.

I played the french version, this is important as the localization is quite horrible. Two worlds II is not a bad game but it's not a good one either. Graphics and designs are quite good, story is classical and not very well executed. I did not used a lot alchemy which looks good enough, magic is not bad too even if I would like more diversity and specificity. The extension as more charm and some quests are nicer. All of that does not make two worlds II a great game but it's not a bad way to spent time waiting for witcher III !

Terrible

The first Two Worlds was an underrated game. Two Worlds 2 is an overrated terrible game. For one the controls are way too clunky. I right click to run, 2-4 seconds later my guy starts running. Things like that. Plus, on the easiest difficulty, the groms on the first island will butcher you. Sure the first couple aren't so bad but after that the grims are like 5x harder when your character has barely improved. Bad game design. Now, I've seen it said that if you can just get past level 10 the game events out. Sorry, but I just don't see the point of slogging through 10-15 levels of hell just to get to a part of the game that might be fun. The game developers are just going to have to do a better job than that.
