Classic 64 Gem
Turok was one of the few pioneers of Console FPS. Adapted from the comics, it was clear this franchise would become more than Turok: Son of Stone. Dinosaur Hunter introduced a unique controller scheme unlike any other, and it's because of those controls I couldn't play FPS on N64 the same way unless it was with the Yellow Arrows and the analog stick to look around. Visually stunning and interesting story, linear levels that weren't boring. Memorable weapons and enemies. It's a classic. There is however some changes they made to this remaster which I need to address, and they aren't huge problems but still something I noticed: Large boss sizes were reduced. It's a bit sad to see the Laser T-Rex so small compared to his massive stature in the original. Map/Level designs from the original were changed in small ways. I'm a pretty hardcore turok fan, and I saw quite a bunch of noticeable level changes. Enemy AI's are bit dumber and they don't do much damage, and Turok can easily kill many of the enemies. I'm positive they also changed the difficulty on enemies as well the health. The distance Fog/FOV seems altered a bit as well. I'm not sure why these changes were made, they don't necessary or anything, possibly why they did this was to reduce how large the game was? I'm not sure. As far as the price goes, $14-15 seems more reasonable to me. Maybe even $10. The original PC release on Amazon(which isn't compatible or working properly on current windows formats, mind you) goes for $30+ only simply due to it's novelty purposes. The N64 version is 70-80%($3-6) less than the remaster price tag. All in all, this game is definitely worth buying. It's a classic masterpiece I played over and over.. anyone who was a hardcore turok fan will know this: RLMNDNTCHT

Loved this game
This was one of my favorite all-time games. Believe it or not, it was ground breaking at the time. It was one of the first games that had an open feeling, rather than a confined dungeon feel. But I bought it once and I'm not sure I want to spend even $9.99 on it again.

Great so where's the rest?
Loved this game on the N64. This was a revolutionary title for console shooters at the time and took advantage of the n64 controller shape and configuration. But for $19.99 is it worth the asking price? For me no. Nostalgia has a value but this title would serve better at about $8. For a $20 bill you should get the complete set that includes this title and its immediate successors, 2, Rage Wars, and 3.
