Cool concept, too bad for the bugs
Bought this game after it had been out for about 8 months on sale. I was playing through and having fun. On the fourth level, the first bug popped up, where an item I beat the mini-boss for apparently did not resolve the game quest it was used for. No matter, I beat the big boss anyway. Now on the 5th level, I get a new bug in which I have to type in a code. The code is not recognized. I saw other people had this problem on other forums, and the game devs requested the save files to fix. I contacted GOG support hoping they could fix it, but they were not in position, so I do not blame them. They gave me the support email for the game developers. I emailed them my save files twice and have not heard back. So now my only option is to restart a new game and hope I don't get the bugs. Eight months out, having already been made aware of at least this one bug, and it's still happening! The cool stuff: -The story has a nice concept, and there's not too many voluminous tomes to read through. -Combat is fun once you get the hang of it and you can scale the difficulty to your liking -Graphics look good -Leveling characters is not so micromanaged. -Seems to be no limit on inventory space Not so cool stuff: -Aforementioned bugs -Yet another game with no manual. When did it become acceptable to not ship games without a manual? You think your one splash screen telling me I can craft items is enough to tell me what I need to do? -Inventory is hard to manage as it clutters up, and you have no real way of getting rid of inventory other than crafting items, and no instructions on to do it, just a splash screen hinting at it. -Load times seem a tad long -Adding new characters seems kinda pointless, as I have just been running with the first four I started with. You can only take 4 characters into battle mode. -(so far) some maps and quests can be frustrating to navigate A game with a potential, but not ready for primetime, nor are the developers, it seems.
