this game is actualy so good! i used to play it a long time ago, then i saw that GOG has it so i got it on discount! still as good as i remember, this is PEAK CINEMA
It's fun to see this game again, I use to play when I was a kid. The sounds are a little off and seem to skip a little though. Seems to work as I remember.
This game is one of my earliest PC gaming memories. Despite the existence of the browser version, I always knew I would buy this the day gog added it. I honestly never expected that day to come, but I am so glad it did.
I loved this game when it came out. I still love it. I'm so pleased it's available again here. It's split into two halves - part one: explore the ship to your heart's content. Meet the other passengers and really get to know the layout of the liner. Part two - the ship is sinking and you have a number of objectives to achieve within a timed environment before the ship is lost...and perhaps you are too! That's the fun part. It took me three attempts to do it all successfully. Sure the graphics are very dated now but hey...how many of your friends can boast "I was on the Titanic last night!"?
The aspect of the game that holds up best is probably the atmosphere, especially the soundtrack. If you're a fan of point and click adventure games, I'm sure you will love this game, but I'd seriously recommend it to anyone based on the music and the visual representation of the ship. It's really haunting to walk around all alone knowing most everyone around you is doomed and being accompanied by music that can be downright creepy at times.
The game isn't terribly long, but there are a few different endings, so it is worth replaying.
hardly works on any modern systems with and past windows 7 out of the box,
Had to tinker a lot, set it to compatibility mode and 1 cpu core affinity and gpu scaling and it finally worked, but either way it aged poorly, no reason to play something like this today,
but if you do make sure you save regularly with multiple save slots since it crashes randomly a lot and just directly use the guide on steam community hub or google so you can at least try and enjoy the story line instead of wandering about aimlessly and doing the wrong thing
