Good idea, good story but flawed combat

This is an attempt to make Mass Effect style of a game on a buidget. That is perfectly fine and for the most part they have managed to pull it out. They have created a world with rich story and plot is happening on Mars, but it is set probably few hundreds of years after Mars colonization started by humans from Earth. There are multiple factions and player's choices seem quite obvious if player wants to play as the good guy or as the bad guy. Those are the only choices really... Unfortunatley, weakest link of this game is the combat and there is a lot of combat. Player is technomancer by default but player can choose to ignore Technomancy in favour for other combat styles or make some combination of it. As idea it is great but something is not right in execution. I love the story so during the Chapter 1 I decided to degrade difficulty to Easy and just go with it. Shame but I still I have enjoyed it. Still I do recommend this game. PS: this is actually a sequel to the game "Mars: War Logs"! I found that while playing Chapter 3.

It's ok, I guess...

This game is definitely not for me. I was intrigued by the dystopian, sciene-fictiony set-up and expected action as well as some mystery. But as a fan of character-heavy storytelling with some action (witcher much?), this bored me senseless. The fights seemed unreasonably hard, the characters are bland, the dialogues stupid and the storytelling is so on the nose that I finally gave up and quit after 2 hours playtime. If you're looking to kick some ass and are a fan of cool sceneries, this might be just what you need, but if you like witty dialogues and clever set-ups, this is a waste of time.

Sadly unpolished

I really do want to love this game and was hyped with hopes of another nice RPG I'd fall for from the Spiders. Sadly, it took a very short time to get to the point, where the incredibly clunky combat put me in front of the decision to either throw my keyboard out of the window or uninstall the game to spare myself the suffering. Tried several times to get back to the game, but inevitably went for the latter... Truly wish the game woud be more polished. Regardless, the average playtime of the game may be a review on its own, though for me, it took even slightly shorter time to 'chuck up the sponge'. Guess you'll either love it or hate it.

It is worth your time and money!

Like'able characters and very credible interaction between them, fluid and fast combat, a good story, replayability... this game had it rough when it came out and honestly I never understood why. Even now, years after its premiere it holds its own very well. You should really give it a chance. The only thing that annoyed me was that there is a lot of running back and forth but that is a problem that most games struggle with (the worst being Deus Ex Mankind Divided ;) ). TRY IT PEOPLE!

Almost there

So I bought Mars War Logs on Steam on a whime. And the game was rough to be sure. But there was something that was really appealing to me and left me wanting more. Enter Technomancer. Still not perfect A number of things I think they should have expanded on. But still fun enough that I replayed it 3 complete times after finishing it. One thing is I think the games (both) would benefit greatly taking a CDProjektRED approach on content. Make the content fit the situation. Stop with the censorship. Otherwise I very much enjoyed the game and I love the Mars setting and technomancer world/enviroment Spiders created in MWL and Technomancer. Ive yet to play Greedfall but I hoping it can at least live up to Technomancer quality.
