The Longest Journey

Ok this game is amazing. One of the best games ever made. From the beginning to the end it has you engaged throughout. You play two different worlds. One of Fantasy, one of Future Science Fiction. You have to solve puzzles in both and help the balance of Stark and Arcadia. This game is amazing. Great dialogue and acting and story line. If you get this, you will want its sequel Dreamfall too as it is also a great game. Waiting for the Third part to come out soon.

This is easily one of my favorite adventure games of all time. I can still fondly remember all of the characters years after last playing it. Would totally recommend.

Constantly crashes after cut scenes.

I dont like how the whole narrative of the game is talking down to the gamer like to a five year old. (what is art, what is real and magic) And it does so in a very pretentious way. (i also hate all the hipster dialogue and aprils 'voice') Production values are high, no doubt.

Puzzles are partly way too random, partly way to straightforward. Conversations and walking/running - too far stretched. The story consists of gathering certain objects and at the end putting them all together - with hindrances being put in one´s way. Seems too constructed. The soundtrack is good but forgettable. For its age graphics are ok. Seems like other reviewers couldn´t get rid of the nostalgia glasses...
