mods work for me
I have read lots of reviews of mods not working with the gog version. They work fine for me. Just make sure you download the special edition version of the mods and go to user/appdata/local/skyrim and copy all the files to user/appdata/local/skyrim gog version I played Morrowind when it came out and so far, it seems that Skyrim is just as good.

We live again!!!!
Finally, the game that I've spent almost 2000 hours playing (combined between Original Skyrim from 2011 and Special Edition in 2016+) on Steam gets its long awaited GOG release and I'm more than happy to snag a copy making this my 4th purchase of the game. With all the incredible mods out there for this game, it has easily become my most played CRPG for the PC and a long standing favorite of mine since its original release on November 11, 2011 on Steam. Although I'm not too crazy about the way a number of things were designed or implemented in the game, It's still not enough to keep me away from it and, with all the beyond incredible mods out there, I won't be leaving the home of the Nords anytime soon. :) Thank you more than words can express for releasing the anniversary edition of this game here.

Shocking
Seeing this release his GOG is shocking, I never thought Bethesda would release this game as DRM free. Needless to say it appears that I have bought Skyrim yet again, and I hope the support encourages more AAA releases on GOG.

NO ROLLBACK VERSIONS AS OF THIS REVIEW
Bought solely for a clean rollback to the last SE version 1.5.97 and no DRM. Presently the rollback feature does not show any version except the ANNIVERSARY version 1.6.659.0.8 and yes I have automatic updates checked off. I still rate this a 4 for people not concerned about mods but for me SE mods are integral to the game and my personal rating until the rollback is functional is 1
